Although I may weigh myself every day or every other day, I ONLY TRACK MY WEIGHT ONCE A WEEK! I think that is important. Especially since our bodies fluctuate soooo much. One day I might be UP 4 pounds and the next I am down those same 4 pounds. ONCE A WEEK TRACKING is the only true indicator of your progress! I think so, anyway!

I don't own a scale. It makes me insane to be an all-the-time weigher, which is what happens when I have a scale available. So, I weighed in once in August, by chance. And I weighed last week at the doctor. I had lost thirty pounds.

I figure if I am eating right and moving more, the scale is going to go down. I'd rather be shocked by big losses than disappointed by no or small losses.

I weigh every 2 days. That way I know if I'm gaining or losing and if I have to be more careful the next couple of days. I also weigh in on Sunday and record it and my measurements. Whenever I lose weight I post that on my board.

I don't know how so many of you gals can only weigh in once a month. I sort of, kind of, maybe a little bit step on the scale multiple times in one day. After reading the feedback on here, i'm really going to try to just weigh myself once a week. I only record my weight on Sundays, so I think i'm going to try to only weigh myself on Sundays as well.

I know I "should" only weight myself once a week, but I can't help it... the scale is right next to the toilet and every morning I am very curious!
I do usually weigh myself every day, unless I am out of town. And I record my weight whenever the number goes down!

(sometimes I haven't "weighed in" officially for a couple weeks...)

After going through a period of weighing every day, I am working on weighing in once per week. There is so much variation from day to day that it can really drive you crazy and be discouraging. There are so many factors that can make you "gain" weight. This does not necessarily mean that you have gained any fat weight.

Working at it 1 day at a time!

45 pounds DONE!

I only weigh in once a week. I don't want to get discouraged by weighing in everyday.

I used to weigh myself daily until I realized that the number was effecting me more than it should. It would dictate my mood and how I felt that day. It never used to, but I think because I'm getting so close to the 100s and I haven't been there in over 10 years - it's getting crunch time and any type of fluctuation in the other direction is soooo frustrating!

I haven't weighed myself in over a month and I may not weigh myself again until the beginning of May. It just depends. Right now I'm going by how my clothes fit. I gained some weight because for a few months I was in a relationship and all we did was eat out and then I went on vacation. So I knew I didn't wanna see that number! I'll weigh again when I feel like the number is something I want to see! hahahahaha.

And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away."

I weigh once a week on Thursdays. There are some weeks I think about getting on the scale more, but I won't let myself. Weight fluctuates so much from day to day that I think weekly works better for my sanity! emoticon

I have to be careful not to obsess about the scale numbers because that's one of the triggers which causes me to sabotage myself. If we can get the scales together, I'll only weigh in once a week.

I much prefer tape measurements because, as large as I am, I find that they're a better reflection of my progress. Sometimes I show a weight gain that's actually muscle; the measurements show I lost weight.

Once a week! To clarify, the first two months of my SP journey I'd weigh in more than once a week, and it would derail me because I'd make choices that day based on what I'd seen that morning. Everyone does what works best for them! emoticon

I weigh everyday. I've noticed that when I eat badly it will show up the day after and stay about another day or 2 depending on how bad I was. So, I don't go overboard. But I also get to see when I've done good! If I only weigh in once a week, then most times it looks like nothing is happening - which is harder for me to deal with...

I weigh myself daily and use it as a tool to see what worked and what didn't. If I'm up at all, I know I need to look at the last 1-3 days (too many calories? too much sodium? not enough water? not enough exercise?) and make adjustments as necessary. Weighing in every day has also allowed me to see patterns like not losing or even gaining slightly the week or two before TOM. I have not allowed the number on the scale to dictate my mood (which I think has been key). Everyone has to decide what works best for them.

I weigh in once a week on Fridays. Makes me think about my weight over the weekend so I don't go overboard.

I used to be like lots of others and weigh myself everyday, but it finally drove me insane and I had my hubby hide it and only let me see it on Fridays.

Good luck with whatever you chose!

I'm having a heck of a time staying OFF the scale even though I know it is discouraging me to not see the numbers move. I Know I am moving every day, I know I am well within my caloric range and intellectually I know I'm gaining muscle and that is why Im not seeing loss, I still find myself disappointed not seeing a drop.

I start out promising myself I will only weigh in Saturday AM, and then I find myself "just checking" thru the week. I may need to ask my hubby to hide it on me ;-)

I'm probably the wrong person to be answering this question, because I weigh myself once a month or longer now. When I first started, I weighed myself every Monday and recorded the weight. A weekly weigh in will probably provide a more accurate reading.
