This has been interesting. I laugh because my husband isn't overly fond of so many veggies. I've found recipes to his liking, even brussel sprouts. Not much up on the exercise which has always been my weakness, but have added some different ones that helped out.

No Bingo's but I do have points. Two more days and this ends. Today I weighed 1.2 pounds more. All my fault. This last week I've been eating sweets & chips.

Well as I said on my WI page, I finished up early, because I have a busy week ahead, I didn't get any bingo's either and I lost and gained a pound or two, I think when all was said and done I gained .06, but I did finish and am thankful to still be walking and staying upright.
HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I'm not going to have any BINGO's either. I didn't stay in my calorie range. But on a positive note I did wear bright clothing, hug someone, exercised, so I have lots of squares but no bingo's. But that's ok. I feel good about taking time to make me happy. I also have me time.

The game comes to an end soon. We have until Tues to finish the game!! Thank you for playing

Today I had a milkshake with my daughter who I have had a falling out with, conversation was stilted but at least she met me for a drink. Went to gym and had a great workout How is everyone going with their Bingo card. I am finding the exercise side is good but trying to do the food balance is harder,
RONDA maybe we can work on this????? Hope everyone has a great day.

I'm losing sooooooooo slow. I can give you the reasons why - didn't watch what went into my mouth for 3 days. Haven't moved enough either.

Now enough 'negative' comments about myself. Positive: I'm here. I'm posting. I'm focusing on myself. I'm determined. I believe in myself.

How about you??

Well, this is the bingo chat line, and I haven't got it printed, but I pulled it up today and reviewed the things I should work on. WELL,,,,, over the last several months, I have been researching IF - Intermittent Fasting and Keto, which of course eliminates the "3 meal a day" boxes on Bingo. Well, I couldn't get a grip on eating.... so I had a chat with the Lord and picked Holy Week to fast and practice not eating. After 2 days, I felt like a million bucks compared to when I was eating... I KNOW sounds crazy, huh? Well, I was doing well and ended up at a friends house on Thursday and she planned for me to eat supper at her house. I hadn't told anyone I was fasting, so I ate. It wasn't what I would choose, but I accepted it as from the Lord: Salad, Chicken breast, and spaghetti flavored noodle curls. And my water of course. then I fasted on Friday, ate one meal on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday and the scale this morning showed a huge weight loss. I'M IN HEAVEN. I feel good! I'm in control of what goes in my mouth! So I'm not doing well with Bingo in "eating 3 meals a day" or "eating lots of veggies" (I have one serving a day) or exercising (but I did work two 8 hour shifts this weekend - that was exercise enough for me) . So I'm not going to win at Bingo, but at this pace I will win at weight loss FINALLY! I've been struggling for a LONG time.
I read all the posts and love all the wonderful posters that people posted. Encouraging and cheerful. I'm going to check the other areas to posts.... See you again, soon.

Here you go, some great big smiles, I'm finally getting over that awful virus I seem to have picked up, Gee's a Lou, never want that one again. I'm still playing bingo, but last week I didn't get much done. But things are going better this week, getting in a lot of cardio and some strength training. I'm so glad to have lost 6 lbs, but I hope it doesn't come back as fast as it came off.

Everyone have a great Easter. CJ from OK. and remember to smile, IT DOES A BODY GOOD. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Bingo - I'm wearing my bright colors! Worked on a menu each week so far. I've stayed in my calorie range with the exception of a few days - that's good for me! I'm finding it hard to smile at myself in the mirror and say 'I Luv U' - and I need to work on that. Who do I expect to appear in the mirror???!!! emoticon

I've been working on the Bingo.

My biggest challenge remains the same - getting enough exercise +++. I need to move these buns more and more. I don't know why I don't just do it. I always feel better when I move more.

CJ'sa is our biggest loser!! emoticon

Are we still playing BINO? I don't hear any chatter about it.

I've been doing great at wearing something bright. I think Spring helps with that. Gives such a cheery feeling. Been windy here but still nice out.

Yesterday I went to the gym.. Did strength and some cardio.. Going again today. And tomorrow. I joined a class for Monday & Wednesday - it's an old people circuit workout. I though it was a good place to start. It's called easy line. It should help me build up the strength to do the workout they designed for me.

sounds like a good workout Ronda, Good for you. My weight is going down but not fast enough for me. I wrote a goal pyramid and stuck it in front of my computer so I see it everyday.
I have an appointment next week for the DRS again as I have found I am high in BGL so I get tested again on Wednesday and then get the results next week. I want to see if I can get an appointment to a Diabetes Educator and get advice on nutrition and exercise.

Good morning! I applied for a fitness scholarship. Our local hospital has a wellness/fitness center. If you are low income and medically in need of a fitness center to improve your health you can apply. I was approved for 6 months!! Yesterday they did a fitness evaluation of me and I'm happy with it. That doesn't mean I don't need lots of improvement but I am in better shape than I was 2 years ago! 2 years ago my age was 60 and my physical body age was 66; yesterday I am 62 with a body age of 59!! That is so awesome. I am getting healthier!! I am looking forward to this!! I am going to start out on the easy line.. circuit training designed for the older adult or rehab. I think it is a great place to begin but I really need to go to work on the the Strength Training workout she made for me!! She wants me to do 3 sets of 12 reps!
A 10 minute warup on either elliptical or spinning bike. Same with cool down. She has 12 machines she wants me to work through.. It's a complete body workout. She wants me to work up to 3 to 4 times a week for strength and 4-6 times for cardio.
My body fat 31.7% which is high but I am on the cuff of moderate. But if I can get down to 224.2 pounds that will drop my body fat % to 26.5 which would put me in the optimal range. My cardiovascular assessment was Elite!! Women my age I'm in the 99% percentile! I did really good on that!! Strength assessment was good too! My nutrition habits are good. Can use some improvement though I'm happy. I am in better shape than 2 years ago.. But I do need to improve!!

Good evening. emoticon In 1971 I was 15 years old and a Freshman. This summer they are tearing down my old high school which was also attended by my grandmother.

Sorry I haven't been checking in this last week. Been under the weather with COPD and CHF. Really just so tired, short of breath and yuk feeling. Been to DR., had lab, x-rays and getting another echocardiagram Friday. I have some stretches, walking and chair exercises. Just little bits at a time because I can' t breath after few minutes.

On another chat thread someone asked how old we were in 1971? And what grade we were in? So I am passing that question on to you!!

Good morning. In 1971 I was 15. I was in my Sophomore year of high school. My birthday October.

When I turned 19 AZ had changed the drinking age to 19. But they did put it back to 21.

1978 I was 21 and gave birth to my first son. 1974 I graduated from High School.

I started a FB page for King's Cupboard (food pantry from church) I'm new to this but please check it out and like it. I think this is the address... www.facebook/kings.cupboard.98 (?) Friend it. There is a picture of the quilt we are making to raffle off. Looks really good.

My grandson moved in with me. So glad he is here. He has been pulling up the weeds in my backyard. Yesterday I took him down to get his Birth Certificate and we enrolled him to start classes to get his GED. Friday he takes the placement test so they know where he needs to start studying.

Today we have a bunch of things to do! So I need to get busy.

I have been extremely busy, haven't even opened Spark for a week. How can that be... I thought after 75 one relaxed and had all this "free" time... UGH! One day gets busier than the next!!

Good Morning!! I don't know if I messed up on my beginning weight. I keep a paper on the fridge and the day before we started I weighed 241.8 but I have 238.4 listed as my beginning weight. Maybe my weight changed that much overnight. IDK.. Well lets hope it changes between today and tomorrow.. It needs to go down a little more. Tuesday at the doctors office my weight was 242....

good morning everyone.
Let me introduce myself my name is Anne and I am from down under in the land of Oz. It is Autumn over here and starting to get nippy but not cold enough to put a heater on but hubby is a lizard and feels it more than I do.

Had a great day at gym yesterday and now I am off to work. I am a teacher's Aide and I work with a boy that has Autism so I get frustrated a lot and hit the gym to get rid of my frustrations.

Have a great day.

Good morning!! I hope everyone is having a great day!! How did your yesterday go.

Again yesterday I was on the go. Don't remember everything I did but it was go go go. Yesterday afternoon/evening my appliances arrive. I an now the proud owner of a new fridge & dishwasher. Now I want a new stove. It's white and my appliances are stainless. Oh well. I'll get over it.

I need to come up with a new idea for strength training. The doctor doesn't want me to use my right arm for 6-8 weeks. She thinks I hurt the Bicep. I don't have range of motion in it. and it hurts when I try to raise it.
I hate doing blood work... they tried 3 different spots before they got it done. And I hate when they go fishing in there.

Today I have delivery for the food pantry and then I'm going to head to Phoenix to pick up my grandson. That's going to be cool. He' going to come stay with me. I hope I can talk him into getting his GED and then joining the JTPA and get some kind of training/career goal going. He'll be 18 may 2nd. He's been living on his own and he quit his job about a week ago. He was working at a pizza place.

LET'S DO IT!!

Have a great day! And smile!! Wear something bright!! at least twice a week!! Be cheerful!!

WOW CJ! 435 days (436) is very impressive! I was shooting for a one year goal and already blew it!!

Carla emoticon on the water! As time goes by you'll be drinking water and not soda. I use to drink at least a 6 pack of pepsi a day- now I have a diet cherry pepsi maybe 12 in 6 months. I drink anywhere from 8-14 glasses of water a day. Mostly 8-9. Just hang in there!! As far as exercise goes... There have been several ladies here who started out by walking to their mailbox or the end of the driveway. And now they are down over 100-200 pounds. And they walk a whole lot more. I wear a pedometer. I have days where I do 4,000-5,000 steps and days where I do 14,000-16,000.

Yesterday was good. I went to goodwill - bought a bright colorful purse and a basket I can hang on the wall (going to glue seashells to it) Found a real pretty picture at Ross and new towels too! Big lots was boring... Went to Walmart and bought shells for my project. I think I will paint some of them to give them some color. The big bag was ugly colors and the little bag had no color. Went to the doctor... BP 130/86 (that was a little high for me but the dr wasn't concerned) Temp was 98.8 (also a little high for me) Pulse 67 and oxygen 93. She ordered blood work for me and a sleep study. She thinks that might have something to do with my compulsive eating. I took in my weight loss history from here and she liked that. It showed how I got to 199 and I have continue to go up and I told her I can stop eating. Her first questions were was there any life changes or depression.. I told her I didn't think so. ? She says it could be I'm not sleeping right. (yESTERDAY WAS THE FIRST TIME I SEEN THE DOCTOR SINCE 2016)

Yesterday was full of "ME time" And mirror smile. I hung up a piece of paper on my bathroom mirror that reminds me … so far it is working!!

Just a quick check-in, I have got a 9:15 Dr. appt, and then the rest of the day, or a least part of it is going to be ME TIME, Lunch with a special friend and prayer partner, she is on hos pis, but for now is still able to get out for a little while, has a critical heart problem and etc. Checked off some more of my exercises on my bingo card and having fun with that, Got to go for today.

Good evening. I think I am posting my motivations in the wrong thread so I will post again here.

We were away from home today with doctor visits for DH and came home and took a nap. lol
We are in such a rural area that we have to drive hours for everything so doctor visits typically take most of the day.

I have had two days of getting my water in emoticon Did I say I am not usually much of a water drinker? Always soda. I am still having soda but am counting it in my calories.

My me time is usually playing a computer game or reading.

OK, day two of our bingo card, My ME time was some reading and just sitting still for a while, doing nothing. our first day went will and got to mark off some of the big smiles and exercise things, again the me time was spent just reading or doing nothing for a few minutes. Hope everyone is enjoying our new challenge. I did reach my goal today of getting past that 435 days of login's and spins, so now I have 436 days and counting.

So remember anythings under God's control is never out of control. (LOVE IT).

emoticon Pat! Glad you could make it!!

Day 2!! Don't forget to start your morning off by smiling BIG in the mirror! Tell the person in the mirror how wonderful she is!! And how much you love her!!

What did you do for ME Time yesterday? I went shopping! A new hobby lobby opened up and had to check it out! I recently painted my bathroom a pastel pink. I've decided I want to do seashell décor. I bought some ceramic pieces and painted them last night. I seen a mermaid with child wall hanging that I will buy in a week or 2. I want to make a heart shape seashell mirror. We were gone from 10:30 until 5:30. Boy was I tired when I got home.

Today is another semi busy day. I have to get bread today for the pantry and I have dr. appt. this afternoon. Going to try to get some more done to the quilt today.

Thurs I am going to try to make it to Phx to get my grandson. He is going to come live with me.

Well, here goes...
...something!

ROLL CALL: Please introduce yourself!!

Andee - aka MAMADEE016
Live in Wisconsin
Have major consistency issues - Been on my weight-loss/health-gain journey here on SP since 2006... April 2006 - so this is my 13th Anniversary month (20th)
Goal to lose 5 lbs this month - but I say that every month (manage to do it 2 or 3 months out of the year). Coming down from 342, I'm presently in the 270-275 roller-coaster, and really wanting to see 260s asap!
Maybe playing BINGO during the month of April will help me make some positive changes stick better! I've printed my BINGO card and I'm as ready as I can be to start this!

PS: Made a major move (2 hours away from 'home of last 20+ yrs') in August 2017 (20 mos ago). I was in the 320s then... so at least 50# of my 70+ loss has been recent - relatively speaking. Hoping to keep the momentum going all the way to 150 or so.

Hello Anne glad you can make it. I will try to do better than I have been doing for the last few weeks.

Hi Babs glad to see you here

CJ I love the pic you have on your tracking page. It gives me a calming feeling.

The month long Bingo is not something I can commit to. I wish I could but the copying doesn't work for me, I can't print the card out, and keeping track of so many variables is just not something I have time for. I apologize but maybe the next challenge will fit my skills better.
