Need to be more consistent in planning and follow through on exercise. Plan to walk outside for 10 minutes and do a strength/flexibility exercise for 10 minutes each day for now and build up to 60 minutes per day. Currently pretty active just now planned exercising.

Starting with the 10 min a day streak today. I need to get out of the all or nothing habit of 60 min a day which I never do. At most I do 30 min walk with son and dog. But if I get in multiple 10's or even just one depending on the day, maybe I can be more consistent.

I joined this challenge to get out of the "all or nothing" mindset. I usually set up elaborate detailed schedules for working out, then feel very disappointed when I just don't feel like it, or can't get to it, one day. So, I'm committing to a ten minute walk every day. That sounds doable.

I joined this challenge because I am new to Sparkpeople but I already do workout. I do cardio, then strength training following day, then cardio, then rest day I just focus on my step count, then strength train, then cardio, then rest day focus on step counts. Workout Mon, Tue, Wed, rest Thur, workout Friday and Saturday and rest Sunday.

1. Watch & improve my Nutrients, so I stay within the RDA for them all.

I didn't set a goal when I started on Sept 1. But as I'm going through a bad time with insomnia and lupus fatigue, I wanted to join just to force myself to get up and try to move a bit each day. So far I think I've managed 20 minutes per day--although one of the days was just doing laundry and cleaning up cat vomit. ;-P I was just too fatigued to do anything else.

I'm starting again and think I can get it done this time! I've already done additional exercise 3 days in a row so now I'll see if I can do it for a week!

goals:
Top goal is doing strength with weights and/or full body exercises for at least 10 minutes

My goal is to get in the pool 3 times a week for 20 to 40 minutes. To get about 15 minutes exercise on the other days. Sunday I do online church, but will try to work in a walk with our dog. Saw my dr. Yesterday and he concurred that I had a mini stroke about 10 days ago. My balance is weird so walking is a challenge. I have to hold hands with my hubby or use a cane. But I am determined to keep going.

I'm late in posting for Sunday. Every day I do a 15 minute walk with the dog at night so I do get some cardio exercise. I'd like to start increasing it though. I do want to get back to doing arm weights but also like a variety. Need to lose about 15 pounds but want to get exercise to be a habit.

I have been pretty motivated since I recommitted a few weeks ago. I track my food every day and I walk through my coaching session every day. My struggle has been trying to MOVE every day. I'm hoping by following this 10-minute Exercise Challenge I can start really making fitness a strong part of my program. :)

I miss the gym. I has felt as though if I couldn't get to the gym everyday than I just was going to exercise. I have an hour or nothing mentality.

I do well exercising until I don't, then time slides by and next thing I see is it's been a week or more without exercising. That's why I joined/rejoined team. I want consistency, week in-week out, every week.

walking has been fit into my life for years now so yeah the yoga chair thing maybe but I think getting stretches in would be easier. so stretching and making longer walks in the am before everyone wakes would be great especially if I can do a cheat day and bring back some donuts or a special breakfast for everyone during my walk. the warmer meals will have to be reheated but I still think it would be a great motivator

My goal is to get at least 10 min of exercise each day. Right now I'm reaching that goal by walking or watching a Leslie Sansome Walking Tape. My Fitbit one records the exercise minutes for the walk, but it does not consider the walking tape exercise. So I manually enter the minutes and I don't enter anything for the calories since the Fitbit records that. The Fitbit One does record the steps while doing the walking tape.

I am getting in on this late - I apologize. I have had two heart caths this year, and one stent, so I need more exercise. I am trying to get at least a little exercise every day, before the stent I had trouble walking at all and breathing at the same time - now I can breathe and walk at the same time - big improvement.

So my goal is at least 5000 steps a day, and I am working with a trainer once a week for strength training.

It's been a week and able to stay on plan especially through Thanksgiving by staying determined, committed and focused. Down 4 lbs in the first week and ready for this week.

My goal is to become consistent with many things including: exercise, eating healthy and drinking more water. I have become consistent with getting enough sleep, now I need to be just as determined and focused on becoming consistent with the other 3.

My goal is to get into the habit of at least 10 minutes of cardio (walking) each day, yoga most days and resistance bands and/or dumb bell workouts twice a week. Good luck!

My goal is to exercise at least 10 minutes each day. I am using a peddler at home while sitting on the couch for days I don't go to the gym or do other routines.

My goal is to get at least 10 minutes of walking with my dog before I go to work. Difficult because it is so dark but do-able.

My fitness goal is to take both 15 minute breaks every day and walk.

My fitness goal is to dance for 10 minutes each day to new music (at least new to *me* music), or take a brisk walk outdoors with my dog and my partner. These fitness goals serve me in multiple ways, and some of them can benefit other living beings (which makes it more likely that I'll stick to doing it).

In addition, I want to track my food at least once every day for 7 days. I'm not making strict requirements about accuracy, because I'm a perfectionist and I don't want to spend every minute being anxious about accuracy...I know me and things will be very accurate without sweating it.

My fitness goal, at this time, is to walk the dog during my lunch break. Both of us will benefit from this activity. I do not intend to walk outside when it is actively raining; however, I do intend to walk when it is snowing or in between rain showers. emoticon

In addition, I will continue to document/track my fluid and nutrition intake on the nutrition tracker. As an older, mostly sedentary, short person my caloric needs are not as much as they were when I was younger. As such, it is easy for me to exceed my caloric needs if I am not tracking. emoticon

I am recovering from two surgeries this year and my goal is consistency with 10 minutes of daily exercise, despite the stiffness and soreness.

Hey there. I plan on starting strength training. In fact I did my upper body today. Yay. My knees have been a little sore. I hope its just because I'm a little heavier and not that I actually have a problem.
My goals. Exercise every day.
Strength train at least 3 times per week and not giving up.

I started the challenge today. I walked for 10 minutes with a 2 minute break in between the 5 minute marks. This is really good for me. I haven't been able to exercise for the past 7 months. I felt really good after my walk today. I am hoping to go for a 5-10 minute walk each day this week. I want to do it at least 5 days out of the upcoming week.

I usually do not do the Challenges.....but feel a need to be a part of the Spark Community.
I really do enjoy encouraging each other, we all need this. I always want to be open to the World!!
It is just one week at a time and we will all profit with this investment in ourselves and US!
