My biggest goal with this challenge is to continue to focus on cardio and strength training. I've been really good at my cardio but I tend to neglect my strength training. I'm hoping this challenge will help me stay focused.

Walking has always been my exercise of choice, but it's not quite enough to get me to my final goal. So, my goal is to add 10 minutes of cardio at least 5 days a week. I'm making use of the 10 minute boot camp videos on this site - here we go!

I already exercise most days, but I'm hoping that by adding this challenge I will get into the habit of exercising more than one time a day. It will help me push away from the computer. I have a tendency to stay on too long. Sitting for long spells isn't good for you or me.

My goal is to actually "see" a daily exercise streak where I do some kind of "real" exercise for at least 10 minutes every day. Sometimes I fool myself and think that it didn't matter that I didn't exercise because I did "other things." 10 minutes is really do-able though and it will be great to see the streak unfolding and see what it means to my fitness level as well.

Hi there, I joined this challenge because 1. I truly despise exercise and something as simple as 10 minutes a day sounds like something even I can do. I need to have the challenge to make me do this. I want to get in the habit of exercising for my health, weight and over all well being.

My goal for this is to go through the 10 minute workout videos and do one each day. I have the time in the mornings so it wouldn't be any different as far as scheduling goes. I just have to do this.

Maintain consistant workouts so that I can not only lose the weight/inches I'm aiming for, but create a habit of exercise to keep it off once it's gone.

I joined this challenge to get a jump start on my exercise: consistency has not been my strong point. So, I thought 10mins a day sounded like something I could do! And I have so far: 2 days (M/T) and I walked 18 mins ea! Not much I know, but definately a start. Thanks Coach Nicole for setting this challenge up!

Having a rough week, started with a touch of the flu or something like it. Two days of no exercise! YUK! I walked 2 miles already today though; got 30 minutes in! Wahooo! I'm training for the 2-day walk for a cure in Chicago in June. Have to get my 10+ minutes in every day!

More power to you all! WE can do this!

My goal is to do 10 minutes of ANYTHING every day. I have been really lacking motivation lately and am trying to get back to it. I gained back about 10 pounds in the past 2 months (working with a doctor to find out if there is something going on) and really need to get back to me.
So- I figure that whether I walk, elliptical, dance, jump up and down, what ever it may be I am committed to at least getting in 10 a day.

With my busy lifestyle I find it difficult to get in a regular exercise routine except for on weekends when I'm not so busy. So taking this challenge will be a way of pushing myself to get in strength and cardio. I will switch off days for which I will perform. From there maybe I can create a healthier pattern and work my time limits up. Wish me luck!!

Together we can do it!!

Hi! I'm wanting to add in exercise into my life that I can sustain -- been too eager in the past and overdid it. My plan is to do these basic things:
-Take a 20 minute walk every day.
-Park on the roof of the parking structure, so I walk up 5 flights of stairs to my car.
-Do the daily exercise in my "40-somethings with 50 or more pounds to lose" team
-Take my "office walk" (walk the length of my building, up the stairs to the second floor, and walk the length back) at least once a day.

Cheers!

I'm hoping to start the habit/routine of doing at least 10 minutes of exercise daily AND tracking my workouts/exercise on my fitness tracker (I need to improve at tracking, instead of slacking!). I'll be tracking my progress, workouts and streaks. Once I'm in the habit of at least 10 minutes a day, I'm going to build from there, but always use 10 minutes as a fall back (on busy or hectic days, when I'm sick or injured, etc.). I also take a gym/fitness class as one of my college courses, so I literally have to workout 2 times a week during class, and our coach usually has us exercise for about 45-60 minutes or so. I'll be doing that on top of 10 minutes of exercise a day at home emoticon

I'm definitely excited about this challenge and ready to start. About to try the Day 1 New YOU Bootcamp Workout for my first day of 10 minutes of exercise!

I am new to this site, but I figure ANYONE can do 10 minutes of exercise a day. I have a collection of dumbbells and illustrated lists of exercises. Starting with my 5 and 7 lb sets, I am working upper body with weights, and walking more often on beach sand. It's a start!

I was looking for a new challenge to replace a couple of expired ones on my list. I chose this one, since I believe it is a very achievable goal!

I plan to spend ten minutes per day doing my dumbbells and/or traditional mat exercises - leg lifts, ab twists, push-ups, crunches.

Does the month end after 28 days or at the end of February? If it's the latter, I am a week behind!

Today is my first day to join the challenge. My goal is to get in the 10 min of exercise everyday and hopefully make it such a part of my routine that it will stick with me after the 30 days. I however am setting smaller goals because bigger ones tend to make me overwhelmed. So my goal is to take on week one! The great news is that day one has already been a success!! I have already gone to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 30 min. Not too long but I'm feeling it anyway! Baby steps :)

I am very happy that I found this challenge. I've taken fitness classes at college, and at the gym. Both were informative, and got me exercising. I've found that once I the classes are over, I stop exercising, and fall back into bad habits. I need to keep moving almost daily, and get back into a regular workout routine. This challenge is a great stepping stone to doing so. I'm hoping this time I can make that life style change, and stick to it. I hope to start with the 10 minutes a day, six days a week for a month, and then move on to 20 minutes a day,six days a week for a month. From there keep moving up 10 minutes a day until I reach at least 1 hour a day for six days a week. Wish me luck, and good luck to all of you out there!
