I just completed week 1 day 2 toning video, and just came back from a 30 min walk in 31 degrees. My body is saying..."wait...what are you doing?....shouldn't I be on a couch?"

I just finished the workout for day 1 week 1. I have an injured rotator cuff so I was glad I could modify it. 28 days I can do! I know I can.

emoticon completed and emoticon ...getting started. emoticon I use a gym but also do many activities outdoors. What I like is always changing it up. Keeps me from getting bored. Always have a goal with small goals to reach as you go along. Doing the challenge everyday this week is a good small goal. Completing the challenge is a bigger goal. Good luck and have some fun as you do it!

Welcome! The workout will gradually become easier once your body has become accustomed to it. A warm up before your workout may make a difference in your level of soreness. Also, allow your body to cool down and do a bit of stretching. You can access some sample stretches by clicking on "healthy lifestyles". Scroll down to "fitness". And in the middle of the page is some exercise demos including stretches.

Eat smaller portions and more vegetables!

Week 1 was really hard for me. I had a hard time walking around the house for the rest of the week...lol. I was always an active person but had no idea how out of shape I really was until I tried the new you cardio bootcamp workout.

Day 1 is always the hardest... it is hard to make those transitions (I also use the written version because I can't do it at home or my neighbors below me may kill me)... I am wondering if doing it to the video allows for more flow.

Keep up the good work! The only time going to a gym worked for me was when I had someone to go with me. So, I have exercise equipment and DVD's so when the weather is bad (and I can't be outdoors) I have other options. Wishing you the best of luck in your journey.

So, I did the first 10 minute workout last night. It was harder than I thought it would be! I didn't expect to get so winded. I did it though--with some modifications--and was glad I did. I couldn't use the video tape as it wouldn't come in where I live--so used the written version. I am thinking about getting Nicole's beginner DVD.

I'm thinking about joining a gym but want to take the advice in'The Spark' which is to make sure you have an exercise routine at home; that way no excuses if you can't make it to the gym. That makes a lot of sense to me.
