I have to start turning the computer off by 10:30, So I can get in bed by 11:00. I also have to start wrighting down in the morning what my thoughts were when I slept. I go for my speed walk about 7:30 at night so I can wind down.

I've been going to bed at 10pm nightly, but not being able to fall asleep until 12pm. My goal for week to is to actually start falling asleep when I want to. I think I'm going to start trying to be in bed by 9:30 so that I have 30mins to try and fall asleep.

I have to stick to my chosen bedtime of 10-11:30 pm (exceptions only for late Thunder BBall games)

Also I learned a lesson about doing workouts late. Funny I read the Importance of Workout article for week 2 and wished I had earlier. A few days ago I missed my 7pm workout time. It was not till 9pm did I do a big workout-45 fast moving minutes on treadmill. I was so tired but when I went to sleep I tossed and turned. I do exercise at 7pm now all the time and not later!!

Week Two Goals:

1. Start before bed routine at 8:30 - turn off computer and TV, finish up chores, dim lights, etc.
2. In bed by 9:15 to read
3. lights out @ 9:30 - even on weekends.
4. Get up without hitting snooze button.

I'm still working toward meeting my goals for week 1. Below are my goals for week 2.

1. Create the right environment for sleeping (no more watching TV in my bedroom before sleeping).
2. Limit required naps to 20 minutes
3. Write down my thoughts/worries/prayers in a journal prior to falling asleep.
