I felt stress come over me when I woke up this morning: I realized that I needed to get sorted TODAY so that I can go away to visit my family early on Thursday morning.

Once I'd had that 'hit' of stress, I settled down and did my morning routine - walking on the beach, doing Sun Salutations, massaging my face, chanting meditation, then I wrote out my daily task list.

There is nothing I can't manage - I just let it all hit me at once when I emptied my worry-bucket over my head!

I had a chat today with a friend who was saying that when she starts thinking negatively she tells herself 'change!' - like change the radio channel, or switch over on the tv. Cool, eh? Not sure it would work for me, but now she's told me, it might come into my head.

Thanks for your encouragement!

Today I read the blog about optimism, then another about gratitude. I am going to add a gratitude journaling section to my bullet journal. To reflect on three things I am grateful for each day, or things I enjoyed or that went right!

I haven't done very well at remembering to track my stress levels. But I do feel less stressed. I have been concentrating on getting better sleep.

Where did week 2 go?!! I've been doing better at getting to bed etc.

Now I find I am anxious about forthcoming events: a visit to my brother; a visit from my son; Xmas.

I think I need to plan what I can, and not procrastinate!
