Jesus said, Love one another as I have loved you.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned (Psa 34:1819, 22).

Remain without a fitbit tracker and continue to use an Omron "old school" pedometer until the fitbit replacement arrives.

Work/personal demands continue to eat up time available for physical activity. Sleep and sessions with the trainer at the gym remain my priorities at this point. Running has been placed on the back burner until work/personal demands abate. The training sessions have been paid for and need to be used before a certain time.

03/04 -- 2,517 steps (rest day, stretching)
03/05 -- 10,517 steps (30-min easy run, strength training, stationary bike, stretching)
03/06 -- 3,942 steps (rest day, stretching
03/07 -- 12,860 steps (cruise interval workout, strength training, stationary bike, stretching)
03/08 -- 5,380 steps (rest day, stretching)
03/09 -- 5,798 steps (partner training. stretching)
03/10 -- 3,298 steps (rest day, stretching)

Every day I am on the verge of making slight changes that would make all the difference in my life.

One day I won't be able to do this, but today is not that day

I am going to keep my daily goal at 25,000 steps per day and my weekly goal at 175,000. My goal is to keep my Active Minutes to above 150 minutes per day. I will also be tracking my mileage and my goal is to walk 10 miles per day. I will also be tracking my floors climbed but as I don't really encounter many steps in my travel I will be interested in seeing how high I can get this number on a daily basis. Keep moving people, I know I will! DON'T GIVE UP!!!

OUR THREAD CONTINUES TO GROW EACH WEEK!

IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THAT OUR MEMBERS WHO JOIN THIS THREAD USE THE EDIT FEATURE ON THEIR INITIAL ENTRY.
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
DOING SO WILL KEEP THIS THREAD MANAGEABLE AND ALSO MAKE IT EASIER TO TRACK EACH MEMBER'S DAILY PROGRESS.

An easy way to find your initial entry is to hold down the CTRL key and your F key. This will bring up your FIND box. Enter your SparkName and hit enter. This will take you to your first entry. Click on the EDIT MY POST button and add your steps for that day. Then just click on the POST MESSAGE button and you have edited your entry! If you have any questions/comments please send me a SparkMail. emoticon again!

A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN USING THE EDIT BUTTON WHEN YOU POST!!! I continue to be very impressed by your daily steps! emoticon

I love all the activity on this thread! Welcome to each and every one of you and I hope that you accomplish your goals this week. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED THIS THREAD THIS PAST WEEK! We were an amazing 31 strong this past week!! That is three more than last week! I continue to be amazed at your step counts, all of you should be very proud of yourselves! emoticon emoticon emoticon

We are still #1 in the Computer & Electronics category?! That continues to be amazing! As of the posting of this post, we are now at (drum roll please!) 116,088 members strong! That is 308 more than last week! That is an increase of 77 members from last week!!! As some of you may know, FitBit announced two new product, the FitBit Ionic smartwatch and the FitBit Flyer, wireless fitness headphones. Both of these items are in stock now. We have burst our head through the 116,000 level and now have our sites set on the 117,000 level! This team is truly one of a kind!!!
emoticon Holy moley!

emoticon Welcome to all of our new team members and thank you for joining our weekly steps goal!!!

I love my Charge 2 but I am having a difficult time letting go of my One. My Charge 2 consistently gives me higher step counts which I find kind of disconcerting. I recall that my biggest concern switching from a waist-based to a wrist-based tracker was that my step count would suffer. That has not been the case. In fact, I sometimes think that the wrist-based tracker provides me with an inflated amount of steps on a daily basis. I am not comfortable with this; thus, my reason for not letting go of my One. I continue to research my Charge 2 but until I feel comfortable with its data the One will stay with me, too.
UPDATE: This past week I performed more repetitive arm motion activity and my Charge 2 provided some highly inflated numbers. The difference this past week was over 16% compared to my trusty One! That is 1% less than the previous week, maybe my device is beginning to learn? We shall see.

More than ever this applied this week and will be applied this upcoming week as I am having to eat out daily. Finding nutritional, filling meals can sometimes be a challenge. I used the techniques discussed in the linked stories and felt good with the results.

OK, let's talk about one of my biggest issues, chewing slowly and enjoying your meal. I am one of those who blindly puts food in your mouth and continues to do so as long as their is food on my plate. It is a terrible habit. I need to learn to eat more slowly, chew more, and enjoy my meals in a peaceful, stress-free environment. Here is an article that addresses this issue:

Here is another article that addresses the same issue (but from a different angle):

OMG, this past week continued to be a challenge as I still am dealing with my health issue. I have not been to a doctor yet but I seem to tick all of the symptoms of planter fasciitis. It seems that my continued standing and age may have contributed to this recent problem. Thankfully, I have tried some of the suggested treatments and they have definitely helped. I have continued to cut back on any gym activities and concentrated on walking (sometimes very slowly) whenever possible. It is a challenge but one I relish to take on and overcome.

Here are some links that talk about leg/foot issues:

Once again even though the weather might be cooler it is still important to keep yourself hydrated. Here are some links to articles that address the importance of keeping your body hydrated.

OK, once again I am stepping down from my soap box!

All readings courtesy of my ONE/CHARGE 2:

03/04: 24,378 (Active Time: 150-Distance: 11.55-Floors: 1-Charge: 25,252)
03/05: 23,981 (Active Time: 170-Distance: 11.16-Floors: 1-Charge: 24,932)
03/06: 20,454 (Active Time: 152-Distance: 9.51-Floors: 67-Charge: 21,645)
03/07: 26.486 (Active Time: 203-Distance: 12.20-Floors: 9-Charge: 27,474)
03/08: 23,235 (Active Time: 160-Distance: 10.68-Floors: 8-Charge: 24,608)
03/09: 26,786 (Active Time: 205-Distance: 12.38-Floors: 6-Charge: 27,363)
03/10: 23,576 (Active Time: 148-Distance: 11.16-Floors: 0-Charge: 28,861)

One more week in the books. This past week was a bit better than last week. I took a total of 168,896 steps this past week for a daily average of 24,128 steps. I was active for 1,188 minutes this past week or 169 Active Minutes per day. I traveled 78.64 miles or 11.23 per day and I climbed a grand total of 92 floors. (Strong winds seems to be the reason for the high floor counts on certain days. If I wear my Charge looser than usual around my wrist and it is windy then my floor counts skyrocket!) Anyhow, not bad for me still dealing with my planter fasciitis. I am slowly healing so I am looking forward to next week!
