My ultimate goal is to be able to create and maintain a healthy life style for my family and I. I have 105 lbs to loose and would love to have it done by my wedding day in January of 2018. I dream of being able to complete a tri-athlon!

I love this topic! I live here in Utah County and want to hike one of the bigger summits here in the valley. By the end of the summer I want to hike Mount Timpanogas. I want to also lose weight and gain a better self confidence. I want to enjoy the beautiful environment around me.

I want to run a marathon! I just ran my first 5k and I'm training for a 10k now, and at least once before I die I want to run an entire marathon :)

Great topic!

My ultimate fitness goal is to be able to play badminton again and keep up with my opponent. It's the type of sport where if one person sucks it's not really fun for the other.

I want to be in shape enough to keep up with my smaller friends. When they say they want to go on a hike I don't want to make an excuse why I'm busy, I want to be able to go ith them and keep up! I want to go for walks with them, and bike rides, etc

I'd also like to be in shape enough to try a 5k run. I'm not sure I want to get into running for long term but there is something in me that needs to run a 5k!

I like this post!

My ultimate fitness goals are:
*To be able to walk 5, then 10+ miles at once.
*To be able to run eventually, first I would LOVE to run one mile without stopping. That will be a huge challenge, but I'm going to work on it in 2015 so the impact of my weight on my joints won't be as awful.
*To be able to ride a bike. I've never learned (really) and next spring I want to be able to learn to ride a bike all on my own and I know I will have more balance and my fitness level will be better, so this is a big plan. I've never truly dreamed of riding a bike but this time around, I think it's an awesome goal to strive for because riding a bike seems so freeing and fun, but also low impact on my joints.
*In the very far away future (2015-2016 at earliest), I'd love to try for a walking half-marathon... and farther in the future possibly a full marathon because that would be an awesome fitness achievement!

My goal is to just get healthy period. I am diabetic, and really want my a1c to go from 6.2 (yes this is good but I want better) to 4.8 and maybe get off meds and control by diet and exercise alone! That would be amazing!

That and I am also wanting to get pregnant, but I am not willing to do it unless I can lose enough weight ot be healthy and lose some risk to the baby.

When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves.

My ultimate goal is to simply become healthy enough to be a mom. Right now my doctor says I'm too heavy to risk getting pregnant. I just want to get to the point where I'm not too heavy.

I try to focus on small achievable goals (walking a 5K in May) versus big future goals. It is kind of fun to think about. I'd love to be able to do a mud run, and I would adore any of the longer runs at Disney like the Tower of Terror 10K or the Princess 1/2 marathon. I'm not much of a runner at this weight though so it remains to be seen whether I will get there or my knees will not cooperate. I would like to be able to try out crossfit as well and perhaps get into dance. The ultimate dance goal would, embarrassingly, be to finish a pole dancing class. I think it looks so fun and so hard!

As much fun as it would be to run a 5K, its not really my style. I think it's silly that I'm sitting here struggling with the question. I want to be fit enough to take dance classes with my husband. I want to be small enough to run around and play laser tag with him. I guess the reason that running is not my goal is that I've always been super duper top heavy/busty. I would be happy if I felt like I did in high school or before I had my kiddos. That would make me happy.

Most events I've seen are to benefit a charity, so I DO get it... just the amount of money to run a marathon is, to me, extravagant. For the youth runs here, it's usually only $10 and the kids get a medal, t-shirt, bag, and treats after. That's well worth it. My cousin's husband has paid as much as $250 for a marathon run though. I'm sure the money goes to a good cause, but the concept is still foreign to me!

Note, I'm also a single mom in college, LOL. That's a lot of money for me.

I'm on the same train of thought. I'm not necessarily excited at the idea of a 5k... I've personally always had such demons with running that it seemed crazy people PAY to RUN. I digress... lol.

My 8 year old son, however, loves to run. He does the youth run each year, which is a choice of half a mile or one mile. He really wants to do the 5k but I don't have anyone who can join him. I'd like to be able to do that for him, and keep up with his teeny butt.

I would love to run a Spartan Race. It seems brutally fun and I think if I could get my @ss kicked, but make it to the end I would finally feel as strong as I believe I can be.

In case your curious about Spartan Races:

I just discovered them not that long ago, but I have been daydreaming about myself covered in mudd and scratches running through that finish line ever since.

I think my ultimate goal would be to jog/run 3.5 miles without stopping. I'm not too interested in running a marathon but just knowing i can jog 3.5 miles would be the greatest feeling in the world.

I also want to eventually compete in the Disney Princess half marathon. But short term I want to get in decent enough shape to compete in Run or Dye here in July. It would be my first 5k ever.

We have a marathon right in my city (well, it starts near my city and ends in Scranton, PA), the Steamtown Marathon, each year in October. I watched them run this year and it was really empowering. That is definitely my ultimate goal. I would love to be able to finish a marathon.

We all have the weight loss goals and the clothing goals and what not but I was wondering what some people's fitness (exercising) goals are. Mine is to be able to run in the Walt Disney World Princess 1/2 marathon by 2015. I have no idea if I will actually reach that goal or if a year and a half is long enough to train for a half marathon from my current fitness level but that is my ultimate goal. What are yours?
