Going well. Down 49 lbs since Feb 1.
Some day, maybe not by Aug 17, I will learn how to post the chart.

TGIF!!! Down 1lb ó Iím a slow loser on the scale so am focusing on fitness and inches. Beginning to like how I feel. emoticon I am an avid Jazzer and have started fitting in yoga into my day. I joined Jazzercisís On Demand: 4 week Total Body results program. Some days are more challenging than others but overall feel great that I am able to modify and complete each class.

Have a Great day ó enjoying the sunshine emoticon

After focusing hard all week, I finally broke through the plateau: scale read 175.0 this morning (see prev. post). Haven't seen that number in a few years!

What seemed to work: Boosting cardio with a challenging 4-mile hike on Sunday, and using my stationary bike more consistently, 6 days a week. The LiveStrong Pushup Challenge has also added new muscle definition to my arms.

Not snacking, eating grains with only 2 meals instead of all 3, and maybe switching to skim milk temporarily (because the store was out of 1%). I also took in over 2000 calories the day of the hike--really needed that--but fasted through most of the next morning.

Congrats, AGATHA54!

Today I'm up 1 lb to 177.6--again.

Have lost and regained the same 1.5 lbs for 5 weeks now! Although I'm visibly stronger and leaner thanks to core workouts, I'd love to bust through this plateau and see 175 on the scale.

I was doing okay, but with this cold I am eating and drinking anything hot I can to try to keep warm. It isn't warm in my house even though the thermostat says it's 72. So I'm sure what I've lost will be back within a day or two.

I've lost a couple. Still not down to what I got down to a couple weeks ago. I am still trying, but have a little trouble when friends think I am not eating enough. I am getting my take out boxes at the beginning of a meal, though, so I don't keep nibbling.

I weigh in on Thursdays or Fridays. Didn't lose any more weight last week, somewhat to my surprise, but not to worry. I'm down 10.5 for the year (most of that is what I regained in 2020) with just 12 to go. I might shoot for 5 more at that point.

Yes--we can all reach our goals this year!

Agatha54: Like you, I went on vacation the first few days of February last year, and am grateful to have many wonderful memories of that pre-pandemic getaway to New Orleans.

I started tracking again. To go along with that I am using a half cup measure (will use more than once if serving is over a half cup) and a scale. Somehow, I need to get some of the weight off. It took off a little more. Don't know how long it will last.

Down 1 lb, then up 1 lb for the past two weeks. So I put the scale away and I'm focusing on NSVs. Such as: my face looks thinner, no more jowls, and saggy chin almost gone. And my new bra now fits perfectly--was a bit too snug just two weeks ago.

I have some issues with inflammation. I may gain five pounds over night. Recently, I had another spell and gained eight pounds. However, Last weigh-in I had lost five of the pounds I recently gained. Perhaps the new plan my doctor put me on is working. emoticon

Teresa, have you tried turmeric or golden paste (turmeric, coconut oil or other fat, and pepper) for inflammation? I keep forgettingn mine, but it does help with my pain. My doctor recommended the turmeric. The golden paste is supposed to be a better way to take it (except it doesn't necessarily taste that great).

I haven't been in to weigh in the last couple of weeks so I don't know what it is doing. My jeans feel tighter, though. I am trying to eat better, but it doesn't seem to help.

The inflammation is back so my weigh ins are not doing well. That is, unless you include an upward spiral. I have been scanned from head to toe and there seems to be know obvious cause. I have another appointment with my wellness Dr. tomorrow and I am anxious to discuss some of the ideas he has. I am doing the best I can and trying to accept that for the moment it is what it is.

I went up again the other day by 3 pounds and today down 1. Tomorrow it will be higher because today I couldn't stop munching. Normally I don't eat that much. In fact, from yesterday dinner through today I am totally stuffed. But yesterday's dinner was really good. I had a taco salad with shrimp from the food truck down the block a couple houses. That's not his normal spot, but he has been there twice and the food is really good. He uses romaine lettuce instead of the cheaper iceberg (which I can't really eat) and 6 good sized shrimp.

I don't lose weight no matter what I do unless I have eaten something that triggers my IBS. Then I can lose between 1 and 4 pounds. I have tried less calories, more calories (normally it turns out between 700 and 900, so more isn't a problem), low carb, a little higher carb though not as high as diabetes teaches a person to have, which would raise my BS to high 200s.. So I keep staying at 194 to 195.

That is wonderful. With the shut-down of everything around here I haven't been getting the exercise (I like the games or dancing at the recreation centers) so that isn't helping me any. Then have also been having cravings for sugary sweets and bread and such, so I haven't even looked much at the scale. Mostly it's been staying about the same.

I am trying to start back on a lower carb lifestyle to try to get away from the sweets and stuff. I think the bread would eventually be okay, but I am staying away from it, too. Of course, I just bought a loaf of bread, graham crackers and club crackers and now I can't eat them. I haven't had much of a problem so far, but I am only at day 3.

OK, I'm down half a pound since the beginning of the month. A break was just what I needed!

I hear ya, FANCYQTR. For me, the scale just won't budge despite everything and I'm frustrated! But having read that successful weight-losers give themselves a break now and then, this weekend I enjoyed pizza one day and ice cream another day. Also eased up on my running schedule. Haven't given up--I am still measuring, tracking, drinking water and planning to run later today--the weather is too spectacular not to.

Gaining, unfortunately. Not much, but this stay at home and all is driving me nuts and I keep eating sweets.

Fits and starts on weight-loss. However, I am sure most of the plateau is due to muscle gain--as my run distances have increased and I've pushed myself harder over the past couple of weeks, hamstrings and quads have really built up. Starting to get those lean runner's legs again!

I am reading that running intervals with short bursts of added intensity are better for weight loss than slow, steady longer runs. I want to continue to increase my overall distance, but today I'm going to start mixing it up to see if that helps me drop some pounds--looking to get into the 170s this month. Wish me luck!

Amazingly, I haven't been gaining when I seem to be eating constantly and things I shouldn't be. My BD was this week, so a friend brought me a small cake and I had that. Yesterday I had to take my computer to be fixed, so went and got my free Spoonbender sundae. My weight is at 196, which is less than what it was when the stay at home started. Of course, my IBS has been acting up for at least 2 weeks. If I eat I am in the bathroom a half hour later. Same with if I drink.

I was able to get a small roast last week and a couple small ham steaks. Not much of what I like in vegetables. Wanted some asparagus when I was out yesterday because I got an interesting recipe for that, but they didn't have any. I just ended up with strawberries and bananas.

I'm running 3x a week and can see changes in how my clothes fit, so that's good, but the scale really hasn't budged. Yet.

And I'm sorry you are struggling, Darlene! I hope you've been able to get more protein and fresh fruits and veggies.

I haven't even been trying the last couple weeks. Since we can't find anything in the stores all I have had to eat, mainly, has been carbs, and those are my problems. Besides that, I can't seem to stop eating. Can't really go out and do much of anything. My neighbors got some lawn trash bags yesterday, so I will be able to start working in the yard so that might help. Also was finally able to find something in the store yesterday to have some of the detox soup like I made last month and a roast for something else to eat.
