My goal for the remainder of 2018 is to do at least 350 minutes of exercise per week and to get more grip on my eating by working on meal gaps: no eating for 2.5 hours after a meal or snack.

2018 goal- 2018 miles biked, a triathlon, 30 min walking daily, 10 min strength training (2 min. Must be planks)

@CAROLYNINJOY1 I like the wall squat idea. Am working on planks. Just did 2 ó1 minute planks. Canít stand them. Want to push this over 2 min within 30 days. Iím committing to 2 min every day.

Am walking daily too. Having dogs helps. Also did some cycling-16 miles/90 minutes. Plus 1 hour yoga. Yup, Iím a weekend warrior.

2018 Exercise Challenge: I have two more days to complete a 30 Day Wall Squat Challenge. it's not as easy as it would seem. It started at 10 seconds, added 10 seconds a day building up to 5 minutes. I end up with 'jelly legs' when I finish each day. I just started a 30 Day Pilates 100's Challenge. In addition, I will do 'hoe downs' on alternating days. I've also added arm workout with simply circles. I'm building stamina and strength and moving away from being almost totally bedridden. I use a rolling walker so I can sit if I must. I'm getting it done step by step a day at a time.

Joy is a Choice. Choose joy moment by moment.

When all else fails, persistence prevails.

2018 GOAL: I must become consistent with exercise. Even if it is only a full body stretch for the day. I know in my heart that exercise can only help me feel better physically (and probably mentally too).....

Island Mama...you can do it. Good for you for looking for creative ways of getting those steps in. Try walking on the spot, maybe even get the kids doing 5 minutes every hour with you.

My daily challenge/goal is to keep my steps over 4500 per day. Sounds easy enough, but as a stay at home mom who homeschools (in a small 1-story house), I really need to get creative to keep my feet moving. Before tracking my steps, I would guess my average daily steps was maybe 4000/day. I can do better! I will do better!
