Ugh, got behind my workouts the last two days. Day 2 I was shopping for new furniture all day (exciting, but exhausting, ended up falling asleep way too early). Day 3 I ended up working late and was too tired to move. Excuses, excuses, but not going to let any mishaps get me down. ONE STEP AT A TIME in 2012, no more beating myself up and throwing in the towel early. Going to do the 3 spark videos and a 30 minute yoga session now to make up for lost exercises. On the plus side, I've tracked all my nutrition since day 1 of this challenge. 4 days tracked in a row, proud of myself on that. Keep up the good work everyone, your all an inspiration! =)

Halfway through the week and doing well! Loving the working out...actually got both the strength and cardio done before everyone else was up for the day. Muscles have been tender since I've been sedentary for so long, but I'm loving the fact that my endurance is going up. Have been doing walk/jog intervals once or twice a week, too. Hope to run with my kids in the Christmas 5K this year, so it's motivating me to work hard. Can't wait to see me in 8 months!

Did Day 4 seated abs/core. Not so bad, but I'm mildly sore from days 1,2, & 3! So I'm sure this will get me too. I also did 35 minutes on the elliptical at the gym with a bit of incline and resistance and burned 350 calories! Woop!!! Ok. Is it time for bed yet??? Oh yeah, and I already lost 1 lb in 4 days!!!! emoticon

Did the video for today.
Walked 40 minutes.
Started intermediate swim lessons. Yikes! 35 minutes swimming.

We're more than half way through the first week! Yeah us!

Everyone has been so inspiring. I have to go slow because of a strained muscle and bad left foot, but did do videos #2 and #3, went to the health club = sauna and Jacuzzi (hope to swim soon). Posture exercises in the morning. Qi Gong meditation tonight and I will do my floor and yoga stretches before bed. May even fit in video # 4 in tonight. Added some exercises on my fitness plan, eating good and in general happy with myself except I weighed 3.5 lbs. more this morning. I did join a new site, "no more scale" so I hope that helps. emoticon

I just did Day 2 video, goodness I hate anything involving a lunge but I already feel those bridges. I will be sore tomorrow. Plus I got 25 minutes in on my bike again. Can't wait to see the end result :)

The day was just absolutely beautiful here, just like yesterday I spent a little time just sitting and enjoying the sunshine. Done video day#4, did 20 minutes of walking and 15 minutes of cardio. So I kept with my exercise. Still a little sore, but not as much as I was yesterday. LOL!

My Goals
*Making the best efforts to work happiness into my life.
*Exercise at least 30 minutes 5X a week.
*Drink 64oz of H2O a day.
*Work at least 10 minutes of meditation into my day.
*Work Yoga 3X a week.

Hi I am a full time RN and a mommy to a 3 yr old and a1 yr old...I joined spark people but on the day I did we were all stricken by a flu bug... So I haven't been able to exercise but as soon as we are better it's on. I need to drink more water eat better I would like to lose 15 lbs.

Hi all! I am new and just getting started! Did Day 2 and Day 4 videos today plus zumba on the wii! I did not have a great food day because I need to go shopping but am trying to workout more. My daughter joined me which was a lot of fun! My daughter's soccer practice was cancelled and I was so bummed because I wanted to walk the fieldhouse while they practiced. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer here so maybe a quick walk after work.

Goal:
Drink 8 glasses of water
Exercise every day
Loss 5% of my weight by 2/2

I'm on day 4 now and going strong! My goal is to complete this challenge and continue with 6 days a week exercise for the rest of my life. I'm planning to lose about 17 more pounds before July 1st.

I'm just starting it. This is really day 1, but I do walk to work and have managed to keep going on some of the exercise from other challenges.

I really like toning video! Had to adjust a few of the lunges... vertigo from ear problem. It's a simple short workout.

With 45 minute class periods, I scheduled physically going to each student's computer to monitor and assist. This totaled 30 minutes / class with 6 actual classes. That 180 minutes of walking. No wonder I'm sitting down "sparking".

Done with day 4! Did 45 minutes of zumba dvd (cardio party) today. Haven't done it in a while, so I was drenched in sweat at the end of it, lol. Felt so good though, and it was definitely much easier to do than when I last did it (which was in 200s)!

Well, day 4 was another bad bust. Week 1 will not be completed like it was meant to. Still going to try again from day 5, though. Even though the last two days have been bad, I don't want to let it stop me completely. Just bumps in the road...

Day 4 is in the can, but not a resounding success. Did the video and added some upper body lifting, but no cardio. Vowing to make up the 30 minutes over the week or on the weekend.

Can't get too down on myself. Need to stay the course...one day at a time.

This week has been tough, but I've enjoyed it. I donated blood platelets yesterday, so I had to take it easy the rest of the day. I felt guilty for taking a day off and was really craving the exercise. I've also started work this week, which is great, but I've had to rearrange my exercise schedule with the weird hours.

I finished my treadmill a little while ago, Did day 4 video and worked out with my trainer. I have never felt this good doing this much work. My legs are sore, but it is a good sore. I gotta keep it up!

Hello all...I am about to do the day 4 video. Yesterday and today were my two days of no extra cardio, but I will get in five days this week. I've got to get more rest so being tired doesn't give me the excuse to not do anything. Other than being tired, I feel good about how I'm doing.

I am loving these videos. They are sparking me to use the treadmill.... started .... and have continued.... I think this is wonderful ..... was even able to completely do the seated abs video today ..... THANKS Sparkpeople and Nicole.... We are never too old... I am 63 ....

Missed yesterday for the videos and going to the gym to walk on the treadmill. Today I walked on the treadmill for 3.16 miles in 60 minutes and I will be doing the videos for days 3 and 4 shortly. I wanted to post this though before I forget. I have so much to do tonight! Be well and play safely.

I thought I miight have a problem doing the videos cuz we couldn't get the volume to work at all last night after I'd done a tape. Finally tonight I did something and it started working again. Since DH tried everything he knew of and thought the sound just went I figured disabling something that was enable in sound wouldn't hurt and it worked. Phew! Did tape 3 tonight. Did get my 5 miles in today also.

Since I started on the 2nd do I need to make up one of the days to end on Saturday?

So far my week is going great. I have done 30 min of cardio and 45 to 50 min of ST each day. Have to catch up from the 1st and 2nd as I didn't do any workouts and plan on getting them in on Saturday so that I have my full week of workouts in.

Just completed day 3 video and did 35 minutes on the elliptical this morning.

Did 110 min of cardio 5.5 miles and day 4 video. Loved it learning lots of new exercises so far and havn't missed a day. Going back to finish my regular strength training now too. Feel like I'm becoming a fitness machine! Thanks, Kelly

I just got on board yesterday so............yesterday I did 10 minutes of crunches, Day 1 video and walked 4.5 miles. Oh, I also mopped our facility (aprox. 3,000 square feet).

Today I did Day 2 video, mopped again and walked 3.9 miles.

I did 40 minutes of cardio on the elliptical and the day 4 seated core video today. I loved the video workout!! It was challenging, but a different way to get a great core workout. It was much better than the standard floor exercises that I've done in the past.

Day 5 video workout (pilates)

I barely could do this video. I've done pilates before, but this video really worked out my legs.

I also did a .8 mile jog broken down into .4 mile jog then .2 mile walk and .4 jog . I also walked 2 miles.
