Weight Loss/Maintenance:
ST 195.9, GW - 188.0, CW - 192.2. Up 1lb from last week, boo. I did not make my goal for the month, I'm in a dreaded plateau. I am working out twice a day, but instead gained a pound and held it for the last 2 weeks. I will keep plugging away, eventually the scale ahs to move!
Fitness:
Exercise - I am back on track, I've been getting up at 6 and using my recumbent bike for 45 mins and then doing a 2 mile leslie Sansone video at night. Need to start finding time to do strength training. Still doing this, and still have not found time to do strength training yet. I do use 2lb weights during the leslie sansone video's, but that's not the same.

Personal:
To get my house cleaned and organized. Things go a little sideways during rink season as we are constantly on the run, we are in the tail end of it so now would be a good time to start getting it organized and cleaned again. I have not got ahead in my house yet as we are still on the run to the rink all the time. I got this started last weekend finally. Sure felt good. Far from done, but still a start

March 1st results:

Fitness:
I have been walking for 30+ minutes every day this week during my lunch hour.

Personal:
I've taken a few days off this week from my decluttering process. I had two meetings to attend, so I felt I deserved a break. I'll be back at it starting tomorrow!

Motivation:

March Goals: (assuming that Marchís ďChallengesĒ are the same as February)

1) Weightloss/Maintenance: 1.5% of 235lbs = 3.525lbs
2) Fitness: 30 minutes/day
3) Personal Goal: Continuing to try 1 new veggie every week & Walk every day (Iím adding a 3rd personal goal: Continue to not make purchases on my credit card...I did great last month until the last week. Oops! In my defence, I thought I had the right amount in my account when I went to buy Asparagus Seeds.)
4) Motivation: Post to SparkPeople every day & remember to update my status

Everyone is doing great! Don't get discouraged, weight loss seems to be a roller coaster of a journey. I am in a plateau again I believe, but I will keep plugging away, the scale will move eventually. I was getting in the bad habit of weighing in every day and I am trying to stop doing that and just keep striving to work hard all week and hope for good results. I like to see good numbers on the scale, but maybe it's time to use how I feel about myself every day as the scale! I will however weigh in on Thursday ( my weigh in day) and post!
I just wanted to pop in here and tell all of you how proud I am of you!

As you can see, I've had a nasty month for this challenge! But I'm still here, just sheepishly hiding until a new month starts!! lol I have done a few good choices but they are usually shadowed by a bad one... I think I've eaten a whole HUGE bag of peanut M&M's from Costco! emoticon emoticon I guess the good thing is, it's gone now. and I won't buy anymore.... emoticon I've been doing a 2 day shake reset, which does help me smarten up but today I'm going to my nephew's birthday...I'm sure there will be cake involved. emoticon but it will only be one piece, not the whole bloody cake!! emoticon

I don't even know where to begin with checking in for this month so I'm just gonna say how great you are all doing and be ready for next week to start a new month. I plan on doing some cooking and freezing some of my own "Lean Cuisines" that should help a little.

February Goals:

1) Weightloss/Maintenance: 236lbs.
(Iím feeling a bit like a yo-yo. I was 236.8lbs last weigh-in...then I gained 2lbs, then lost, then gained, then lost again...you get the picture. Itís been an odd week...)

2) Fitness: 30 minutes/day - Stairs/Step Machine & ďDancingĒ
(I had to cut back on the Stepper a bit Ďcause my knees have been giving me heck lately. Instead Iíve added a ďwalkingĒ routine. Iíve recently discovered Leslie Sansoneís YouTube videos and last weekend I found a couple of her DVDís at Walmart. I find I like the walking better than the Stepper if only Ďcause my knees donít click and crunch when I do it. Iíve continued the Biceps Curls at 1lb...might increase to 2lbs next week if all goes well...and the Wall Push-Ups. I had a few days of low energy where I didnít feel my best so didnít actually exercise at all. So...yeah...my consistency flew out the window, but Iím hoping itíll find its way back this coming week.)

3) Personal Goal: Make no new purchases on my credit card this month & try 1 new vegetable every week
(The Credit Card seems to be collecting dust from lack of use, but Iím counting it as a win. A couple days ago I was really wishing that I didnít set this goal as I came upon a couple things online that I wanted to purchase. Iím hoping theyíll still be available next month. Or...maybe I could ask hubby to use HIS credit card...that doesnít count against my goal, right? emoticon

As for the veggies...I had rotten luck with my choices this time. I tried Artichoke and Arugula. The Artichoke causes shudders of revulsion just remembering it. And the Arugula was pretty yucky, too...though I did find a way to eat it. I mix 1/2 Cup Arugula with 1 Cup Coleslaw and add 1 Tbsp of Calorie Wise Ranch Dressing and...this is my secret weapon again the yuckiness...2 Tbsp Homemade Dill Pickle Juice...er...brine. If I can continue eating it like this, I might be persuaded to add Arugula as a semi-regular guest on my dinner plate.)

4) Motivation: Post to SparkPeople every day & remember to update my status
(Iíve logged in and Posted on SparkPeople...havenít always updated my status, though...but Iíve been extremely inconsistent with my Daily Challenges.)

5) Accountable: Remember to Weigh-in & Post my results
(As mentioned before, this has been a really odd week with the yo-yo-ing weight. I did lose 0.8 lbs, so Iíll count it as a win. I only have 1 more week to reach my personal mini-goal. I donít know if Iíll make it, but anythingís possible if I put my mind to it and try. Even if I donít quite make it down another 2lbs, I can console myself with the knowledge that Iíve improved my fitness level. 1 month ago it wouldíve been near impossible for me to keep up with one of the walking videos...now Iím doing at least 2 in a day.)

Weight Loss/Maintenance:
ST 195.9, GW - 188.0, CW - 191.1. I did not make my first mini goal of losing 30lbs by my sons birthday, but only missed it by a pound! So a little disappointed, but not terribly I will be there right away! And I'm on to my next goal. I want to lose another 20 by my daughters birthday in May. That does not leave me a lot of room for errors, but I think with lots of hard work and determination I can do it.
Fitness:

Fitness:
With this nasty cold in my chest, walking--or any kind of exertion--has been minimal. The cold appears to have left my sinuses and now just firmly in my chest. I go to the doc this afternoon to make sure it's not bronchitis or pneumonia.

Personal:
Continue with my decluttering -- finish off the books and then on to the CDs!
I'm in the "K" of my larger books for cataloguing, and I'm still getting rid of some, but not as many as with the paperbacks.

Motivation:

Feb 16: week 3:

Weight Loss/Maintenance: SW: 124.9 GW: 122.4 CW: 128 (Well, I guess I have work to do after my trip! Too much good food!)

Fitness: 11000 steps per day and 60 active min on fitbit everyday. I was very active the whole time I was gone. We did 4 rounds of golf, swimming, and lots of walking. For some reason my fitbit didn't log any active min on Fri and Sat even though we golfed each day and also went to Top Golf for 3 hours on Sat evening... oh well, I know I did it anyway.

Personal: I need more sleep! I will try to get 7-8 hrs a night. I will keep working on this but I did pretty well while I was away. One night we watched a movie and got less sleep .

Motivation: I can do this! I love my Spark family. I have a couple teams I am quite close to and love to keep in touch!

Accountable: I'm back from Phoenix! Hmmm...this weather is kinda cruel to come back to! lol

February Goals:

(Not really sure if it was worth the effort of typing a new ďWeightloss GoalĒ for only 0.048lbs...but itís a smaller number so Iím counting it as progress.)

2) Fitness: 30 minutes/day - Stairs/Step Machine & ďDancingĒ
(Iíve continued being consistent with my daily exercises and even added a couple to my usual routine...biceps curls and wall push-ups, even if I really dislike them I do see the benefit.)

3) Personal Goal: Make no new purchases on my credit card this month & try 1 new vegetable every week
(The credit card is feeling sad and lonely, thinking I donít love it anymore. But hubby is plenty pleased with the unchanging balance. And Iíve added Adzuki Beans to my list of Tried Veggies. A word of advice, though...when making Adzuki Bean Brownies, COOK the beans first. It still tastes okay with the uncooked beans, but theyíre really crumbly and crunchy. Iíve been pretending I added walnuts to the recipe to explain the crunchiness, but the dry crumbles are kinda hard to overlook.)

4) Motivation: Post to SparkPeople every day & remember to update my status
(Er...Iíve kinda did this...Iíve just gotten derailed with checking in with my Daily Challenges. Sorry. emoticon )

5) Accountable: Remember to Weigh-in & Post my results
(Okie Dokie...this is actually going fairly well. Last Thursday I was 240.8lbs and when I weighed myself this morning I was down 4lbs! Yay! 2lbs to go to meet my monthly loss goal and 116.8lbs Ďtil I reach my end goal!)

CW: 202.0 - Down 0.6. Wish it was more but I'm okay with half a pound.

Fitness:
Walking for minimum 30 minutes a day, at least 4x/week.
My steps have been increasing since my ESI last week, and I look forward to even more steps as the days continue.

Personal:
Continue with my decluttering -- finish off the books and then on to the CDs!
The books are coming along nicely. I have a large pile on the coffee table waiting to be uploaded to Varage.

(As an aside, I really and truly suck at math...I had to get hubby to figure out the percentage for me; I was nearly in tears Ďcause my brain just wouldnít work tonight emoticon )

(Iíve been fairly consistent with my exercises...so, go me! Yay! emoticon )

(So far so good...my credit card balance hasnít budged and so far this month Iíve tried Asparagus, and surprisingly liked it, and Acorn Squash, which I like as a dessert with maple syrup. )

ST 195.9, GW - 188.0, CW - 194.4. Down another pound, yay!! I'm very happy with that being as its been through diet only as I haven't been able to exercise. I don't think I'm going to get to my goal of 190 by next Friday, but I'm close and I'm pretty happy with that considering how things have been since the new year with getting sick and then my back issues.

Alright! I love starting a fresh month....or a fresh week, or oh heck a fresh day for that matter!!

Feb 1 week 1:

Weight Loss/Maintenance: SW: 124.9 GW: (2% = 2.5lbs) 122.4

Fitness: 11000 steps per day and 60 active min on fitbit everyday til I leave on my trip on Feb 7! (Wearing a bathing suit will be my motivation this week!)

Personal: I need more sleep! I will try to get 7-8 hrs a night. I know this is an impossibility when Been works the morning after I work evenings but if I could get more sleep on the evenings I don't work, this would be so good!

Motivation: I can do this! I love my Spark family. I have a couple teams I am quite close to and love to keep in touch!

As stated in the January 2018 challenge, I'll be posting monthly challenges, keeping them simple and relatively in the same format from month to month, focusing on: 1) an achievable weight loss or maintenance goal; 2) an achievable fitness goal; 3) a personal goal we'd each like to achieve each month; 4) a motivational goal to post in or visit Spark regularly; and 5) the usual accountability goal of sharing our weekly results.

Here's the February challenge:

Weight Loss/Maintenance:
1.5% weight loss or, for those who have reached their weight loss goal, maintaining your weight.

Fitness:
Exercise (your choice) for minimum 30 minutes a day, at least 4 times a week.

Personal:
Choose a personal (non-weight/non-fitness) goal you'd like to achieve this February.

Motivation:
Post somewhere in Spark at least 4 times a week; change your Spark status at least once a week.

Accountable:
Weigh in once a week and post all your goal results here.
