I always try to see the balloons every year and they've come to mark the end of summer for me. I remember seeing some of them from my mother's balcony last year. My daughter and SIL love them so much that they usually visit that weekend just to see the balloons. They didn't this year, though. I visited them, so

Go fish

I went to the balloon glow last night with friends. It was awesome! And I found a couple who were from Grants Pass, Ore, where my son and family are! Small world.

I can't name just one either: Ambrose (history); T.S. Eliot or Gerard Manley Hopkins (poetry); Shakespeare or Bronte (classics); Seuss or Carroll or Milne (children's lit); Hillerman or Nevada Barr (mystery); Clarke, Heinlein or Asimov (sci-fi), and Tolkein or Piers Anthony (fantasy)...

So I guess that's a Go FISH since I can't answer "Yes"... ???

I have a grandgerbil! My most unusual pet was the garter snake my son brought home when he was in 5th grade. I'm terrified of snakes and the darned thing kept getting out of the aquarium and then I'd have to chase it down. Our dog (big fluffy thing) would go on point to show where it was, which looked pretty funny for a sheep dog! I'd have to look then, and catch it. It was the color of dark corners so there was an element of suspense and surprise involved, with plenty of laughter from my son and his friends.

My most unusual grandpet is a huge 3 horned chameleon from Madagascar. (same kid)

Sharon, there may be many adjectives for you, but not one of them would be "frumpy!"

If having a special few t-shirts and sweat pants that I wear only for working out, then yes, I have special workout clothes. . . . .

Yes, I did but they are the most comfortable shoes I have so they've become my every day shoes. I have to have a separate pair of shoes for the classroom than from the street and I think I will use them.

How about work out clothing? I did buy one pair of work out pants and they are very comfortable. I also bought several sleeveless tees. Does anyone else have special workout clothing?

Sharon, they've blocked off the old road at the entrance and now it's for foot traffic. You walk a loop around all the red rocks, including the kissing camels. Very pretty but also very crowded. I think it's maybe half a mile, not sure. If you go at dusk you can see the swallows.

PS: very creative with the fish!

I love walking the GOG loop. I find it a safety hazard for walkers. And they drive so fast. I prefer Cheyenne Canyon.

Unfortunately, I can't do it physically anymore because of the MS. emoticon
