I would say that I am not always satisfied with the way things are. Ever since I took my fall and DH has had to take over most of the housework - I am unsatisfied with my part in things. My moods are so very much better and with that I am very satisfied. That took an incredibly long time to get to! As far as getting satisfied with the work division around here - I guess it's just a matter of time. It seems that each time I begin taking over a few of the duties, another part of my body decides it's time to go out of commission and I'm back where I started again! I am sure the Lord has a reason for this so I'm endeavoring to be patient.

At work I am a perfectionist because everything has to be done perfect If someone else doesn't do things right I get upset.
At home I don't care. I think it is because there I just gave up with trying.

I am a recovering perfectionist, so yes, I am usually and mostly satisfied now but I wasn't always. There was a time long ago when I wasn't normally satisfied fully - but it always related to myself more than others. I often felt I didn't do my best, or didn't measure up (I compared myself poorly to almost everyone), and these feelings are still there. Still, I felt often disappointed in how I was treated by relatives. In hindsight, I was right to be disappointed in those who did in fact let me down but in their defence, I seldom let them know to knock it off. Maybe some of them were users and a couple of them were (are) just plain mean, but I was too hard on myself and sometimes my husband, but not hard enough on those who deserved it. I have turned this around quite a bit, with more work ahead I suspect.

I remember my mother often saying: "You are never satisfied." I really can't recall her ever saying anything positive when it concerned me. If she was still alive I would ask her what she meant. I don't think of myself as not being satisfied. I know I work hard at what I do and usually feel I've done the best that I can do. Even when I am hard on myself for not doing something I know I SHOULD, or leaving things to the last minute because I am a procrastinator, I tend to accept this because I know it is a decision I have made.

mostly i am satisfied. knowing that I've given the best I can to the things I can control and don't rightly worry too much about the things I can't control. not that life is perfect -- just i don't want the things out of my control to get out of control and take control of my life and feelings of personal satisfaction. (did that make sense to anyone other than me?) =}

Are you ever satisfied? Why or why not?
