So I have never done a challenge before. I joined this without understanding what I was supposed to do. I found that it was in my Spark Teams at least a week after joining and wrote last week. Today I found the daily things I was supposed to be doing so backtracked and filled in from my food diary and activity log. It seems that I am almost on track. I cannot print out meal plans as I live without wifi or phone or anything and have to drive quite a distance just to get to a place with wifi.
The challenge is actually going well but I am very motivated right now. I have a 100 mile hike in Scotland in the planning and need to be back in shape to do this.


I am Serena. I now live most of the time at a lodge on the western side of Washington state. I was ready to retire this past July but decided to transfer and stick around for another couple years. I don't think I will last another couple years. The ranch just sold and will close shortly and that will be my opportunity to pay off my new truck and my barn and finally leave the workforce behind! We are opening a destination airbnb and I will be working full time with that and training my new Gypsy

Finally got a chance to clean out my fridge and freezer the other morning. It's funny how you have to be in the right mood to do those things. I hate wasting food, so I had to wait until I was in a "just get rid of it" mood so I wouldn't second guess too many decisions. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bag of frozen kale and quinoa side dish and another bag of stir fry veggies. I'll be using both of those very soon!

So many choices for one food IS rather frustrating! I try to stay with the ones that were entered by Spark rather than by a member if possible. If there are no Spark-entered choices I make sure that the one I use has the same numbers as the package or I just enter my own. Make sure you're saving them to your favorites when you do find the right one so they're easier to find next time.

I also use the groupings a lot for stuff I usually fix the same way such as omelets and BLTs.

I have been Sparking for a while now and joined the challenge to get going after my vacation and spark vacation . still have problems with the tracker giving me several choices for the same food it still discourages me and soon i give up.tracking but working on not giving up this time.
