My DH & I use Sports Research Collagen with Peptides.. I add it to coffee. There's not much of a taste when added to a hot drink. I stopped using it because I kept going over on the protein when I started Keto. I just started using it again now that I have more control over my protein.

I use about a half scoop of Equip in my morning tea with ginger, tumeric, and coconut oil. I'm a distance runner, so I consider it part of my overall recovery process, and I've been recovering well, but haven't noticed any other specific effects.

I don’t. When I started keto I wanted to “do it right” and bought into all the things people said you “had to do”.
Collagen was one. I bought a very expensive container of it.
It made me gag. It was just horrid to choke down.
I saw zero difference in anything.
Then I hired a coach...and he presented me with research.
First, it’s gelatin. Made from bovine hooves and other parts..can’t remember exactly but that’s what it is.
Second..it’s very high in protein. Something I struggle to keep under 60 gm a day without adding it in
Third. It’s expensive.

Conclusion: it won’t hurt you. But you can buy Knox brand a lot cheaper. And most likely it won’t do much but strengthen your nails.

I would also be interested in any info on this subject.

I have heard that there is a lot of protein in collagen - thinking that might be a problem for me. I pretty much have no trouble getting all my protein in each day.....

Do any of you take collagen supplements? What brands do you like and in what form do you take the supplements?

Has anyone seen any improvement in skin elasticity or joint pain relief?

I am holding on to the hope that Jello salads with whipped cream on top will do the job, but I don't think that's going to be a go. ; )
