A Poem my mother send me while my DH and I were stationed in Germany

The Rose
It is only a tiny Rosebud, a flower of Godís design
But I cannot unfold the petals with these clumsy hands of mine
The secret of unfolding flowers is not known to such as I
The flower that God opens so sweetly in my hands would fad and die
If I cannot unfold the Rosebud, this flower of Godís design
Then how can I think that I have the wisdom to unfold this life of mine
So ĎIíll trust him for his leading each moment of every day
And Iíll look to him for his Guidance each step of the Pilgrim Way.
For the pathway that lies before me, my heavenly Father knows
Iíll trust him to unfold the moments just as he unfold the rose.

This is a poem passed onto my from my Mother.

Fred Somebody, Thomas Everybody, Peter Anybody and Joe Nobody were neighbors
They were old people and were most difficult to understand. The way they lived was ashame.
All 4 belonged to the same church but you couldnít have enjoyed worshipping with them.
Everybody went fishing on Sunday or stayed home to visit with friends.
Nobody wanted to worship but was afraid Somebody wouldnít speak to him. So guess who went to church ? Uh-huh-Nobody.
Nobody was the only decent one of the four. Nobody did the visitation. Nobody worked on the church building. Once they needed a Sunday School teacher. Everybody thought Anybody would do it and Somebody thought Anybody would do it and Anybody thought Somebody would do it. Do you know who did it? Thatís right-Nobody
It happened that a fifth neighbor and unbeliever came to live among them. Everybody thought Somebody should try to win him and Anybody could have at least made an effort. Your probably know who finally won him to Christ- Nobody.
This little parable le brings to focus again the fact that each one of us is personally responsible for Godís work. If we leave it for Somebody and Anybody, Nobody will do it. Letís work dear Christian until Jesus comes.
