Good going, Mary! You are a machine!!

Carol, I keep track on my own AND on the tracker. I have found that I lose an average of 12-15 minutes a month because of the way it handled strength training on the old tracker. Haven't really seen any difference with the new tracker, though. I still get miffed that you can only count 120 minutes per day on SparkAmerica, though!

By the way, everyone - Carol pointed out that we are now in slot 16 on the leader boards!! 16th place out of all of the Spark cities is higher than I have ever seen us go...maybe the highest we've ever been. Who did it? YOU did it! Congratulations to all of us! Woo Hoo! emoticon emoticon

Again, the fitness tracker is just annoying. The new and old tracker give different results. Strength training isn't always counted. I did my minutes manually and come up with 626 so far. I hope I am correct. I will keep trying with this challenge next month for myself. It is a good goal for me.

SO! I didn't sign up for the August challenge because I was on vacation for two weeks of the month and didn't know if I'd get my minutes in. Indeed, I barely got anything in during vacation, like maybe 100-150 minutes, but today, I just hit 1000 minutes for the month. 1020, to be exact. Which means I did something like 900 minutes over the last 2 weeks. Whoa!

I just have to stay so focused this week if I want to hit my 1000 minutes. I made it to 847 today. I know teachers are returning to school and parents are so busy getting the kiddos acclimated to the new year...but we cannot let that deter us from staying the course. Let's get this done!

Hi, had a fantastic time camping this weekend in the Davis Mountains (long drive, but well worth the time)--was about 60 degrees at night, so refreshing! Hiked about 7 miles yesterday, did lots of hills, climbing, etc. You know, even though we were at 5300 feet or so, I wasn't dying because of the walking I've been doing in preparation for our Half Sparkathon. Such a difference from the last time we went hiking. We walked all over the place, and worked hard doing the putting up and taking down of the camper, etc. So, am up to 810 minutes. Yeah!! Need to spend some concerted effort this week to reach my last minutes, but felt so good this weekend, I know I can do this! Keep it up team, I was so proud to see San Antonio at 17!!!

Teresa, as always I am proud of you for your honesty and accountability to the team. How about trying a little accountability to yourself? Promise yourself 15 minutes a day...every day. EVERYONE can find 15 minutes, even if it is just walking around the neighborhood or in place. This will build a habit. This habit will expand into more minutes. Try it at least, okay? I believe in you!

I've made it to 810 minutes. Must really hustle to get in those last 190 minutes! It's really only 6 30 minute workouts or so. I just have to be consistent!

How's everyone else doing? I'm open to suggestions as to what kind of challenge you would like for September so make sure you sound off!

With all of the moving of Kat in today I got in another 120 minutes totaling so far for August at 268 minutes. Way behind but you know what? I've been battling this whatever it is for almost 4 weeks now and I'm just glad to be getting anything at all in for exercise. I'm not giving up but I'm not going to kill myself about it either.
