I ate well for New Years. I'm back on track and things are going well. I had hoped for a loss this week but even is good. Hopefully next week will have a loss.

Thanks for the challenge Sharon and I am sorry team for the last weigh in with a gain - I knew it would happen though, But back on track now but I also know it will take a couple weeks for my body to adjust back...and I feel like crap with the sugar and alcohol I had. But onward we go!!

How is everyone doing today? Now that the challenge is over, don't scarf down all the treats you have left from the Holiday! I need to have a few weeks off to get my self feeling better but I will be back with another challenge soon.

In the mean time, I will set up another Accountability Thread we can post in if you want.

Sharon, thanks again for the challenge. It is so good to keep eating healthy somewhere in my mind. It was fun as well to have the encouragement from all of you. I'm sorry the crud has got so many ill this month. It helps weight loss but it also makes life miserable.

I'm keeping on track and plan to do so this next month as well. I do look forward to another challenge but it isn't a hurry.

Have a great day. I'm off to get Christmas cleaned up for the new year.

And I thank you as well, Sharon!! Great job of tracing. I know it's hard to keep it all straight.

I for one, had a big challenge of having to do a dramatic diet change. One that has more calories to it with foods that use rice, brown rice etc. I know it's what I had to do but miss the cookies and donuts (LOL) The cost of gluten free foods is really high so I have gotten flours, made flours and now will be looking at doing some baking. Roger is helping a lot by not asking for favorites. BUT our house was filled with cookies by loving neighbors. Roger has certainly been enjoying them!!

That being said, I am surprised to have lost anything. I thought I would gain with higher cal. foods. So I am happy with what I did lose.

Like everyone has already said, we really appreciate your hard work Sharon, especially since you have been so ill. I really hope that cough lets up soon.

This is the first challenge in a LONNNGGG time, I have lost and so far kept it off. It does help to track, for me any way ! Now the hard part is to keep it off and keep the downward trend. I am tired of being in the 2's !! My body hurts daily. I feel old. I hope you a;; made your goals or at least moved more.

Down 3.2# today because of some food poisoning yesterday. Surprisingly I did pretty good on eating and portion control this week. Fell a little short on the walking this week, just 36.56 mi. Took 9 tries to get this posted as Norton is doing a fine job of blocking the "malicious web sites" for me, seems to happen mostly on the Spark site.

Sharon, thanks for the challenge this holiday season. I know it is a lot of work for you and I appreciate it.

Hi everyone. It is the last WI and I'm excited to know how everyone did.

Sharon, thanks for your encouragement and challenges. It is nice to have that support and to think about disappointing my teammates. I don't like to do that.

The prednisone is for short term so you shouldn't see a big gain if at all. Most people who gain weight usually do with long term usage and higher dosages. You are probably on a taper as well and will start to drop the amount you are taking over the next week or so. Not feeling well and not eating helps you lose for sure.

I did lose a bit this time. It might be the most I have lost in a challenge in a long time. I'm glad things are heading in the right direction.

Heather, so glad you are in the place you want to be and can find your way again.

It is a hard time of year to lose so even a small gain is not a huge problem. Just get back on the wagon and even though it is still very dark outside and the darkness does affect our eating.

I've got a few leftovers to eat. I put some things in the freezer to enjoy in the next few weeks. I don't want to indulge in too much happiness at once. I normally eat pretty plain and don't want to change things up too much.

Thanks to all of you for your support and kind words. It helps a lot to know that others are there to help if I have a binge day and can help me remember to get back on track.

Have a great day.

Oh my! I never expected all the kind words about me when I came to post. Thank you so much! As I have said many times, I do it for myself as well. My weight fluctuates so much that I need the accountability.

That being said, I had a nice loss of 2.6 lbs this week. I am sure being at death's door (or so it felt) helped with my loss but I'll take it! Now to keep losing with WW's. I just didn't keep track when I was sick but today starts a new week so I will be counting points again.

...right back where I started from. I'm so relieved I didn't gain, tho'. My brothers and wives sent all goodies for Christmas gifts, and gifts from my DH included sweets, too. There was so much I had to put some in the store room in the basement. We had a good Christmas Eve dinner of ham, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts and croissants. The Brussels sprouts were cut in half and dipped in a honey/vinegar sauce then baked. Turned out really good! We got calls from both my brothers, yay! I'm usually the one to call, as well, they're men, of course.

Soon it'll be time to pack all the Christmas decorations away, then dust again, and put all the usual stuff out.

I'm proud of everyone sticking it out thru this tough-to-be-good time.

Good Morning to all!

Well....i think I ate more like the Joker in the deck of cards as opposed to the King or Queen ...or even princess or prince! Whatever! LOL! I am just grateful...I had the tinest loss ever! Point 1

I feel sad this is the last weigh in....but...this truly did help me. I started rough...I did..but in the end...I am down for the holidays...and honestly ..that was my goal...not to have huge gains like I did in my past. So...steady and some loss...for me...is a victory.

I plan on really focusing more ...after the New Year...like most I am sure!

My focus...will still be weight watchers..but more on fitness ...a lot on fitness!

I am wishing all a good weigh in day..and New Year.

Sharon...can never thank you enough for all you do. ...and I do hope you are feeling better!

Good Afternoon!

I slept 10 hrs last night! It helped as I am feeling some better today. It's. not going to go away overnight but if this relentless cough stops, I will heal.

To be honest, I haven't stepped on the scale for a couple days. It felt like I was dying so I didn't care. This morning I stepped on the scale as I am pretty sure I will live (lol). If I gained over Christmas, I will never know as I weigh the same.

Tomorrow is our last challenge WI so I hope we all are happy with our WI and final results. I was put back on prednisone which they warned may cause weight gain. That means 4 weeks of the challenge I have been taking it so I am happy if I finish with a loss!

HI everyone. I am glad that the big meals for the winter are over. It is easier to keep a routine if there isn't a lot of extra stuff going on.

I had my big holiday meal yesterday and it was very good. I did well, though and wasn't stuffed at the end of the day and I am up only half a pound this morning. I'm eating smart today and will hopefully balance out by tomorrow.

If not, I'm heading in the right direction and have hopefully worked out a plan to eat healthy and stay healthy without denying myself ALL the time.

Ruthann, you are one busy woman. Sounds like you have plenty to do over the next month or so.

Heather, your soup looks great. I hope it isn't too cold where you live.

Peggy, have a fun day.

Sharon, hope you feel better and are improving soon.

Got to get busy and clean up a bit and be chill today. Got another family event tomorrow and they are having donuts there. Fortunately, I won't be partaking.

Have a great day.

GOOD MORNING
Here we are at the end of 2019. Boy this year has flown by fast.
Lots going on this week and next.
Tonight karaoke, Sunday take care of my cousin, Then probably take off in the afternoon for Hesperia, CA (high desert) where we will be New Years. They are predicting snow for Monday and we want to get up there before it all hits.
We have reservations for New Years Eve. Our friends are in a band and they are playing that night. It should be A FUN NIGHT.

When we get back we are hoping to go see the floats again from the rose bowl parade. They are beautiful in real life.

We got gift cards for Kohl's at Christmas. Not excited to go until the kids are back in school.

Saturday we are going to Sacramento, CA to see Terry's GK's. That is the place that I almost froze 2 years ago. Not looking forward to it. But lets get it over with.

January 12th we are headed for Yuma for a week. Then when we get back we will be getting ready for our cruise to New Orleans, Cozumel, Belize, and then 4 days in New Orleans.
Coming back in February.

More things are planned for February. Terry sure keeps us busy.

SHARON: I am glad that you waited it out at the doctors. Now get better and enjoy your winter.

Not much else here. I hit 50 points today. Long over due....

Good morning! It's 39 this morning, the temperature went up!!

We're going up to Jodi's for lunch and then to Adin's basketball tournament at 5 in PA.

At least with that cough medicine should help you sleep Sharon.

Well, I do not have the flu. My lungs are good so no pneumonia. It is still a very stubborn case of acute bronchitis. I finally got to see the dr about 1:15. She examined me and then gave me a breathing treatment. After that she sent me for x-rays to check out my lungs which is clear. So she sent me off with another round of steroids and a cough med to take at night with codeine so I can hopefully get the rest my body needs. After stopping to get the prescriptions filled, it was 4:30 by the time I got home. So, that was a wasted day but to be honest, I am so miserable, I wouldn't have been doing anything anyway. I just hope this helps. I am so sick of being sick!

I dare not complain though as my friend here in the neighboring RV is worse off that I am. I just talked to her DH and he said they are hoping by Monday to transfer her to a rehab place as her breathing is bad. She only has one lung so it's a pretty serious situation. They figure she will be in rehab for at least a week. They have air fare to go to El Salvador towards the end of January to visit her wealthy brother and her mother who lives with the brother. They have a huge mansion with several servants. The mother lives in her own wing and has a nurse 24/7. The mother is 102 yrs old and is starting to get feeble. They go visit a couple times a year but will be very disappointed if she is not healthy enough to go.

Managed some strength training this morning before family arrived. Today we are altogether, we've enjoyed food and our family (adults) secret Santa. I don't see myself really getting back on track good wise till we are home after new year. But at least I'm being active now!

Way too much delicious food at my sons house the last two days, and today promises to be more of the same. I did bring lots of fresh veggies and hummus for snacks and tried to eat more raw veggies than junk. emoticon

Theyre serving ham for dinner, not a favorite of mine, so it will be easier to behave. Although someone is making fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast. emoticon

Hope everyone is enjoying this week.

Merry Christmas my friends! emoticon emoticon emoticon

My bronchitis never went away (the coughing) but now I seem to be fighting a head cold. I didn't get much sleep last night with the coughing spasms again. I just can't seem to get on top of it healthwise. I will give it 'til Friday and if not better, I will go to the Urgent Care again!

I'm supposed to go help debone our turkeys this morning. I'll go over to the clubhouse but I doubt they will want me to handle food that everyone will be eating. It's one Christmas that I'm glad I only have to go have a nice dinner and come home. I'll be sure to get an afternoon nap in when dinner is over.

Mary - I did name my FitBit! I call it Shadow as it's always with me!

I wasn't feeling well last night so it was easy to avoid most of the finger foods although I still probably ate too many calories. Hang in there Ladies as soon Christmas will be behind us and we can work on eating healthy again!

HI everyone. It is suppose to snow tonight and in the morning. It will be very nice for the kids for sure and it is beautiful. Since I don't have to go anywhere and no one is coming, it will be fun.

Sharon, I hope the King/prince/pauper system works for you. I believe it is because you are full the rest of the day that it works. I'm also glad you have dropped back down after your meals out.

Have fun taking "teeny weenies" as my FIL used to call them. Easy and fun to eat.

Heather, thank you for both cards. It is nice to remember and share happiness this time of year.

Ruthann, sounds like your "rest of week" is full. Enjoy brunch with Terry's family. Looking forward to your fruit tree.

Peggy, that's a lot of things done early in the day. Have a great day today and tomorrow.

The house is cleaner and I've got to wash some dishes and get a gift for tonight ready. Have a wonderful day today and tomorrow.

Whew! I may have overate my breakfast. I definitely ate like a King. It was scary to record it. Now, I will have to finish the day out as a Prince and Pauper or I will overdo my points and/or calories!!

Our mgr has been gone to Arkansas to visit family. She was supposed to fly home yesterday with her mom and DD. Their flight was delayed in Dallas and then it was canceled!! They had to scramble to find a flight as over 2300 flights were canceled. They spent the night in Dallas and hope to get home today. It certainly reminds me how many are depending on air flights over the Holiday. It was very foggy this morning so I'm sure all flights were delayed.

Tonight is our Christmas Eve celebration at the Clubhouse and our Dirty Santa Exchange. For my gift, I got a bucket of nail polishes. I figure we all either polish our fingernails or our toenails for sandals so it's something I would like so I hope someone else will too.

We celebrate with finger foods. Norm requested I made the little sausages cooked in BBQ sauce. It's OK with me. I am hoping to be good and enjoy the fun more than the food.

I wish everyone a Happy Christmas Eve day!

Good morning it's 36 and looks like a great day to ride up to Jodi's and back. She lives on the other side of the mountain so it's always iffy at this time of year.

I have the cream cheese cookies in the oven and the pumpkin pie ready to go in when they come out. It's only 7:30 when I sat down after making them.

The Rocky Road is in the freezer waiting for me to cut it and I have to make the apple pie and I'm done for Christmas Eve and lunch on Christmas

All my presents are wrapped except for two that are coming today.

I hope you are all ready because it's here tomorrow.

I survived the weekend. Yesterday we ate at home all day! My weight was down this morning. It confirms my suspicion that restaurant meals are full of sodium!

I have walked 2 miles this morning so my exercise is done.

Tomorrow night we have our Christmas Eve celebration with finger foods. I'm still not sure what I'm bringing. I bought my Dirty Santa gift and have to wrap it. Dirty Santa is when they draw your number you can pick a gift from under the tree and steal someone else's. It's always lots of laughs and fun.

HI everyone. Pasta night last night. There were some good dishes and I really wanted to enjoy them all. Managed without a big gain. An improvement from two weeks ago. I spent the week catching up last time. Hopefully won't have to do that this week.

Ruthann, you are one of the busiest women. I love player pianos. You got a deal with that one. I loved playing one at my grandmother's although I'm sure the adults hated it as it made noise while they were visiting. Have fun with cousin today.

Eileen, I hope you feel better today. Some days you just need to nap. I'm glad you listened to your body and hopefully feel better.

Off to clean some before the grands get here. They are off the break and will want to sit in front of the TV but that isn't happening today. I do have some cards for them to decorate and we'll make cookies to take home. Hopefully they will have fun.

Have a great day.

Good morning RVer's
Off to cousin Nancy's house to finish up her shopping chores.

Life is good.

Cruise coming up in January Cozumel, Coasta Maya, Belize, and an extra 4 day stay in New Orleans. Looking forward to this.

Party last night and Breakfast tomorrow at Terry's Daughters, Christmas dinner at his daughters on Wednesday. Then New Years in Hesperia, CA. with friends. Then plan for a trip to Yuma, Quartzsite, and the cruise. Lots to do.

I am joining a gym but when do I fit all that in?

Raining here. Looks like the whole week. Snow in the mountains surrounding us. It is really beautiful when the sun comes out.

Hopefully my "times are a' changin'" with all the activity I have been going with. Sat. my body crashed and burned. Up for breakfast after sleeping in, to the recliner and lots pf napping. Just couldn't wake up. Did my stretches and arm and leg exercises but that was an effort as well. Today much better. Busy day but tomorrow will be the final clincher with the Christmas choir program in the evening. We have the snack/finger food tables to set up, the choir and bell tables and chairs as well as the audience chairs. I still have thank you notes to write and give to the singers and instrumentalists.

The rest of the week is busy but this is the big one which will be over and done. It's been a joy to work with this group but lots of efforts.

Busy here. Church and getting ready for a dinner party tonight.
2 more shopping days until Christmas.

Yup, It is really going to happen.

Terry bought a player piano. It is so cool! It is an up-right and it plays a ton of old tunes. Yard sale $200.00. With stool and 60 rolls. Sounds great!
No idea what some of the gadgets are for.

Got to go get lunch. Later Spark family.

Cool menu graphic!

Well, my invitation to a friend to have Christmas Eve dinner (when I would've eaten much more) fell through, she made other plans so it'll just be Bob and me. I'm doing ham, brussels sprouts, yams, homemade cranberry sauce and homemade bread. Bob will make an apple pie. That's his 'thing'. So, I should be in good shape for our last weigh in; what's with the 0.4 lbs average? That's bizarre, I'm not unhappy as I'm losing, just a bit at a time. emoticon

My activity for today will be scrubbing the kitchen. I like to be super clean for Christ's birthday.

Thanks everyone for checking in. I am tired so will wait until morning for our summary.

My next door neighbor and best friend here in the park has been suffering with a kidney stone. She went to Urgent Care and was diagnosed two days ago. Just a short time ago, an ambulance came and took her. She was really not doing well this afternoon so I hope they can help her at the hospital.

Otherwise, my day was uneventful. I did go to WM and got what I need for Christmas (I hope)

See you in the morning!

HI everyone. It was a good week for me but it isn't often this way. Losing weight is always a struggle for me.

Heather, I do believe that our bodies hate to lose weight and want to maintain to keep us from starving. Also, losing large amounts changes our metabolism and if you look at the Biggest loser winners, you see that they cannot go back to eating even a reasonable number of calories. They often go down to 1000 or less to maintain. Let your body tell you what to do and in a few months when you get that "normal" it will happen again but maintain for sure.

This week will be harder because the kids come tomorrow and they want pasta. Wednesday I'm visiting my DD's in laws and celebrating with them. The husband has lost a lot of weight since being diagnosed with diabetes. They all struggle so they will have healthier fare but it will be tasty. Then on Thursday is our family meal and gifts. We have fun food and it is enjoyable. I do like to eat. I'll have to figure out my plan before they come. I may just get my pomegranates ready and nibble on those while the grands clean me out.

Congrats to those who lost and to those who maintained. No matter what, thinking about our eating has helped to keep things in control. It is a win.

Have a great day.

This challenge has helped me maintain, which I really needed during the holidays. Yesterday I drove to my daughters house to deliver presents and spend the night. I ate very lightly, which is reflected in my weight this morning, when I enjoyed a big breakfast of eggs and chicken sausage. emoticon

Ill be driving home through lunch, planning soup for dinner, but Ill do my best to follow the challenge rule this week. Dec 24 and 25 well be eating at my sons house, certainly a challenge!

Only .6# loss this week but so happy no gain. Last week I had a salad every day and fruit was grapes, an occasional banana, and raisins & craisins in my cereal. I also only ate 2 meals per day most of the week. I usually eat a big breakfast around noon and dinner about 7 and then don't go to bed until 12-2:30 but I'll try to break that habit this week for the last week of challenge. Same boring exercise this week: 70,057 steps, 35.22 mi., 535 "active" exercise minutes.

It's going to be a tough week to stick to the challenge but do what you can!

Good morning all. I’m happy to say that I’ve had a loss 2 weeks in a row finally. I had a couple of BAD foos days but I guess the extra walking helped compensate.
I’m also happy to say I have my car fixed finally. Crazy it took me 2 weeks to get someone over to look at it when it was something I could’ve done but I don’t climb under jacked up cars and didn’t have a jack anyway. Anyway car is fixed YAY and I’ve found me a mechanic now that I can call

I will concentrate on the King, Prince, Pauper method. My typical is Prince King Pauper, so not too bad.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Stay safe if traveling and stay warm.
