You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Oh my gosh...I found my old Dr. Scholl's sandals the other day and decided to try them out...A little nervous because of the solid wood sole but today my foot is feeling soooo much better...will have to put them on the routine because it feels like they are exercising exactly what my foot wants.

had a slight setback when I hurt my foot, but I have been making adjustments to keep myself active and maintain weight...the increased caloric intake is helping a lot there...and the time off due my injury has shown me other things like my skin time shrink along with hopefully muscle building underneath.

decluttering is still a work-in-progress, although it may always be so...

doing well with gradual increase in weights, but I'm beginning to realize that it may take some time to get the definition I am looking for -- a long time ago I use to lift weights a lot heavier than I am now but after such a long sabbatical...one day at a time is all I can say but I'm still working on it!

The added caloric intake is helping alot with energy to make the changes I am looking for...may need to add more calories, but again, one day at a time!

Decluttering my life is going well...

Still working on the right mix of caloric intake and exercises (I changed my caloric intake to a higher number because didn't want to lose any more weight without greater definition)...but still working on it!

Challenge -- achieving a good mix...exercise should help one sleep...overexercising however can disturb sleep...as I close in on what may be a good exercise mix, getting more rest will be the next challenge.

I'm really loving the fact that I won't have to replace some clothing I really love...With 20 lbs gone, I not only can fit back into them again but my wardrobe has increased again because of the clothing I stopped wearing.

JOANIE.H & DOWNEASTLASS I have to say the two of you are an inspiration for me. I have not worn jeans in 3 years and at that time I weighted 176 so I am doubly charged after reading your posts to get to that point. Yes, I still have my jeans, I have to go exercise now, time for a long walk. Thank you for inspiring me.

I, too, am wearing jeans that haven't fit for a year or more. I'm also feeling better about the increase in fruits and vegetables that I'm including in my meals.

It feels great to do all the weeding back/front yard, and edging without having to break every 10 mins. What used to take me forever (3+hrs) I can now do in about 1 1/2 hrs. and not be tired or hurting. It is a wonderful feeling.

I can work out without feeling winded. I like feeling healthier even if the scale results aren't where I would like them yet.

I'm enjoying the pants fitting better thing too. I've lost 15 pounds so far and really like getting on my old scale now. I'm a little over half way to my goal. On my old dial scale I can't even see where I started, but I can see my goal in sight finally! It's a good feeling and I know I am going to make it.

I have been steadily buying bigger size jeans, then my step dad, who is huge started letting me have the ones too small for him he grew out of, that was my low point, I joined Spark People (not much hope when I joined, had tried Atkins diet, wieght watchers and more). Now just 2 months later, guess what, last weekend I packed up all the jeans I have been wearing this year because they were too big, I am taking them to my organization that gives to families who have lost their homes due to fires or other disasters. Normally I would have put them in the closet figuring that I would be wearing them again soon, now I know, NEVER AGAIN will I be able to wear them, they are just too big. My husband suggested I go buy some new jeans as a reward, I smiled and said, Why? They will not fit long, I just pulled out more from the closet I had put away that were too small, I have one more size stored when I out grow (or should I say under grow) these until I have to go shopping!

Sometimes, the greatest motivator is in the achievements that you make toward your goals and challenges. Whether big or small, the progress you see from your efforts is just the boost that you need to keep going and maybe even work harder to achieve your goals. Sometimes, your progress can even be motivating to others too.

So, if there is any progress that youve made that youd like to share, please feel free to do so. Ill go first.

Yesterday when I got home from work, I noticed something amazing. When I removed my belt, I was able to pull off my pants without unfastening them. That was a major achievement for me, given that several weeks ago, I had to struggle to fasten them and then they were pretty darned tight, so tight that I would worry all day long that Id end up splitting them in the seat.

That was just what I needed to stay on point and keep with my plan.

What progress are you seeing in yourself?
