emoticon to everyone for completing this week's challenges! Kudos to those of you who did 2 sets of yoga poses and extra cardio activities. SOCDIRECTOR - WTG on the kettleball & 3" step risers! WOW. You're one tough cookie. KARRILEE, your high scores on yoga and strength training are phenomenal! Thumbs up! COUNTRYGIRL & COUNTRYGIRL did sensationally too. LOVE how everyone did extras.

So the winner of this week's challenge is: KARRILEE. The cheerleader of the week was: SOCDIRECTOR. Both of you will be getting team sparkgoodies. Snowball Fight was the fave for majority of Challenge Chicks. So I will incorporate that more into the workouts.

Can't find my Friday notes, but I did do the workout. I tried the Seated V (?) pose on yoga as a new challenge and really felt it.

Saturday I worked all day.

Today, I put in 40 minutes of walking but no Wii time.

Looking forward to a less hectic week this week.

Halfmoon: 90, 87pts
Sun salutations 94, 91pts
Standing knee 54, 87pts - I find this very difficult. I think because of my flat feet and past ankle & knee injuries. Particularly for my right leg. I can't balance on it. Hard to move the bent R knee up and down without going outside yellow area. Also I find that it's my gastrocnemius and soleus muscles and the arch that are working and they hurt afterwards, not my thighs.

Dance 73, 65pts - VERY HARD.

Triangle 81, 86 - This exercise is great for runners, especially those of us who have knee injuries and/or ITBS (iliotibial band syndrome). But I cheated on this. In order to stay midway inside the yellow area, I'd have to lean WAY BACK. So instead of putting my front hand on the wii balance board, I put it on my ankle instead to form the triangle. This allows the weight to be adjusted back into the blue rectangle. If I place my hand on the wii balance board, I go way over the blue area, meaning weight too much in the front. How do you guys do this?

Sunday isn't very eventful so after going out to eat a huge Mother's Day breakfast, I'll be doing a full-hour workout. We are going to a church pancake breakfast with my family and my parents. Need to work off the extra calories.

EVERYONE!

You all are setting the bar pretty high. I can tell I'm way behind in my personal experiences with the Wii Fit Plus activities. My competitive nature is boiling over and I'm determined to get better results after watching these excellent scores.

Expert Course: 13.597mi Shortcut amateur - Wow, very deceptive trails, especially the caves. Be careful with one narrow, treacherous trail inside cave! I kept falling into the water near the exit. And with my simulation vertigo, I nearly fainted many times. Had to take MANY MANY BREAKS. YOWL!

Aerobics: Kettlebell Training for 35 mins (10 lb KB),
That's roughly 380 swings. No, I didn't count it this time, though I can count that high! I already have all my kettlebell workouts counted out for another SparkTeam on which I'm tracking a goal of "number of kettlebell swings". Yes, maybe I am a fitness dork.

YOGA (two sets each)
Breathing = 72/62 pts
Palm Tree = 52/76 pts
Chair = 68/84 pts (Personal Best!)
Downward Facing Dog = 19/17 pts (this is a hard one for me!)
Warrior = 93/96 pts

Rhythm Parade = 1092 pts.
I really do like this activity. My goal is to beat MDH who has the highest score on our Wii Fit Plus. He thinks he has the advantage over me since he was in marching band in HS! I can't wait to prove him wrong!!

Island Cycling = 1.000 miles

Island View Cycling 26/27 flags after 18 minutes--gave up.
Rhythm Parade Advanced-high score 984 (did 3x)

My fave Wii Fit Plus exercise: Island Cycling -- but I have simulation motion sickness (vertigo) so i can only do this in short spurts.

1. half-moon: 89pts, 89pts
2. tree 73pts, 75pts
3. sun salutation 92 pts, 92 pts
4. Triangle 64pts, 83 pts - I find this pose hard to keep within blue area. It feels unnatural to have to lean back when doing this pose. When I used to do triangle in the yoga studios, my weight was more evenly distributed. I don't know if it's because the Wii expects you to have a male type body (not female)?

My absolute favorite Wii Fit Plus activity is SUPER HULA HOOP! Asked for a real hoop for Mother's Day! WooHoo!

Wii Fit Age = 33 (real age 49. I believe the Wii is just playing with me again!)

YOGA
Warrior Pose = 92/88 pts
Sun Salutation = 80/84 pts
Breathing = 78/82 pts (Personal Best!)
Bridge (2x)
Cobra (2x)

Rhythm Parade = 383/492 pts (Personal Best!)
Island Cycling = 1.012/1.0 miles

EXTRA:
Birds Eye Bulls Eye = 530 yards
Free Step = 2,636 steps (30 min)

The SlimCoach by MyTrak I use as my pedometer says I walked over 13,776 steps and traveled 5.3 miles total. Sounds about right since I know I put in 1 hour and 10 min on the Wii Fit Plus total the two times I stepped on the balance board.

NOTE: This is the fourth week of challenges and everyone's doing sensationally. So we're adding to the workouts.
Yoga: You can stay with one set of yoga poses or increase to two sets. Increasing the # times per pose will help improve your flexibility and strength in that pose.
Aerobics: If you do non-Wii Fit Plus exercises such as walking outdoors, biking, etc., you can list the minutes/miles in the Extra section.
