Wow, so October just started and I'm already doing terrible...ughhh! Any tips or advice or motivation?! I don't know why this is so hard for me :(

I'd like to join this challenge!
I've started my own little challenge but love posting my results and seeing everyone else's progress on these boards.
The last couple months have not been great for me I almost lost 10 pounds but then gained most of it back so I'm at 187.4 last time I weighed myself so my major goal is to get out of the 180's finally and get into healthy habits!
I found a month long workout plan that I am following along with eating around 1600 calories a day I will do a total body workout every second day and keep up with my couch to 5k training because running is supposed to be amazing for weightloss!
Good luck everyone!!! got my workout in already emoticon went swimming for an hour!

I know I'm a little late, but I would like to join!

Current weight is 154 - I've been 125 before, but I realized it is not a realistic weight for me and I felt as though I was too thin. Plus, I lost my curves! I would like to be 140 and if that could happen by New Year's that would be awesome.

I'm already sticking with those but I'm down for a challenge-stay within my calorie range and start my half marathon (in January) training schedule.

I'm in! This will be the first time that I actively participate in this group. Need to have some accountability. I will weigh in tomorrow morning and I will take pics tonight- also the first time that I will be doing that. I have been working out at least 4 times a week but my goal is 5- 30min sessions. My goal for the end of Oct. is to lose 5lbs. I have been trying to become more green, so I'm cutting back on processed foods, I would like to increase my cut backs and stick with more healthier options.

I'M IN!!!!!!!!
I have been slacking since August and all my hardwork went down the drain. It's time to start!

Official weigh in this morning: 153.2 (which means I lost 2.2lbs last week, YAY!!)

Current BMI: 24.7 (officially back in the "normal" range!!)

So I did C25K week 1 day 1. It was crazy! I am planning to wake up early tomorrow and get in some Jillian Michaels before work. I put it out there so now I have to do it emoticon

I'm in. I've been sort of half a#$ing it the laste few months so this challenge is easy enough to feel doable but difficult enough to provide a challenge.

I am totally in! I need to get more involved and this seems like a great way!
My goal is to get down to 130 by January...Not sure where I'm at right now to be honest...I've been avoiding the scale because I have a tendency to get a little obsessive/overrate its importance. I'm really trying to be healthy, the weight loss is just the added benefit. YAY. :)
I think this challenge will be really good for all of us!

Is this the official thread to chat in or will you be making a new one?!

I was supposed ot be starting P90X today, and USPS said my package was delivered on Wednesay to my apartment. I even had a note on the door saying it was left with the office manager, but when I went to pick it up, it was nowhere to be found! I AM SOOOO MAD!!!

Anyway, today for exercise I cleaned the entire house, and did laundry (which for me means walking up and down stairs all day.) We then started decorated for Halloween. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

All that I'm after is a life full of laughter, as long as I'm laughing with you.

I am up for this challenge. I just recently started Sparkpeople and am having a hard time balancing work (I am a teacher) and my personal life. I think that this will be just what I need in order to get myself re-motivated and focused.

Count me in! While I workout a lot (including training for a half-marathon) I haven't seen much success in the weight loss department and I'm very certain it's because I hardly ever stay within my calorie range. I'm vegan so it's not that I'm eating incredibly bad things, it's just that I eat a lot. This month I especially want to focus on the tracking...the half-marathon I'm running is on Oct. 23 so that's my motivation to treat my body well throughout the month! 22 days and counting! Let's do this ladies!

I've been eating well for the most part but have been super lazy when it comes to my exercise and I have not been tracking as I should. Thus I think this challenge would be a great help.

I am currently weighing in around 135-ish (I will weigh myself when I get home from work) and would like to ultimately weigh 120, but we'll work towards 130 to start.

I have been having troubles keeping myself motivated and active on the site since starting my night shift job. However I have decided that I am going to start going swimming twice a week and go to the gym for strength training at least twice a week.

Awesome, I'm in too :) I've been a SP member for a year or so, but I am really ready to commit. I like this challenge and the goals. The only problem is that I don't have a working scale so I don't know my SW. I think I am 138-140. I've gained 10 pounds in the last year which is really sad. I hope to go at a healthy weight loss so that would be 5-7 lbs in October. Ultimate goal is 115.

I am in for this Challenge! I've been a member of SP for almost 2 years and have lost over 70 pounds, but I've been lazy and stalled on the last 20, so this challenge is just what I need!
